Reminiscing the old days when Rich Stadium seated 80,000+ those were the days.

 

Those were the days when WNY was much more populous. Even with that, Ralph Wilson had to give away tickets to avoid local blackouts of home games.

 

I, for one, look forward to a 60,000 seat stadium. With population decline we can't sell them out like we used to.

Much like Fisher camp where I can’t get in now Vs 2006…a small 60k stadium … I’m resigned to a few games a year from an affordability standpoint. 8 tix I need per game is a lot $$
 

So, while I want a covering + cheap tx…I suppose another casualty of a good team AND keeping Bills in WNY—-worth it

Tottenham has a good amount of seats deep in endzones that look like virtually are all covered.

I haven't cared enough to know the location of the Bills new stadium. But I assume it is within the city limits of Buffalo? I'm aware Orchard Park is 18 mins from Buffalo.

You should be aware of where the current Bills stadium is. It’s the place your Packers have never won a game.

That's a very Ralph-Wilson-era mindset you have ol' timer..........where the season ticket holders are captives who have to buy the tickets and all that matters is that the ticket gets bought. 

 

The thing is.........the future of maximizing revenue is getting actual people in the stadium and impulse selling the hell out of them.

 

Merchandise, food, gambling.......

 

There is a reason Casino's aren't kept at -5 degrees.

I don’t think your going to be wrong that is the way the NFL rolls these days unfortunately. The sad thing is Buffalo economically is more set up for the CFL football team today than the NFL football team today. Let me explain I am not saying I don’t want NFL or the Buffalo Bills to stay in Buffalo. What I am saying is CFL is trying to get a CFL expansion team in Atlantic Canada the Saskatchewan Roughriders lost to the Toronto Argonauts up there. The CFL commissioner says they need $20 million for a Atlantic Canada CFL football stadium like Tim Horton’s stadium in Hamilton. What I am saying is a Tim Horton’s Stadium in Hamilton is more Buffalo economical friendly with the CFL than what Buffalo is being asked to roll with the new Bills stadium in the NFL. I have real doubts Buffalo overtime is going to keep up with the cost of having a NFL team while fans salaries in Western New York stay flat.
 

It isn’t about football it was never about football with the NFL it is greed. The Buffalo Bandits NLL draws well. I have zero doubt that Buffalo CFL in a Tim Horton’s like CFL stadium in downtown Buffalo would be very successful and bring the Canadian fans and shoppers Buffalo downtown wants that they aren’t getting in Orchard Park stadium. Again Buffalo isn’t paying $10,000 for a PSL it is insanity and it has nothing to do with Buffalo’s love for football. I don’t judge Buffalo as a city or a football town on weather we can sell PSL’s to satisfy the greedy NFL owners. Like you I hope I am wrong too in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

Exactly and in a Southtowns snow belt. Buffalo Bills season never extended this long with the extra week of games plus playoff games in Primetime at night. The Buffalo Bills weren’t doing that in the 1990’s 8 PM playoff games and the playoff games weren’t selling out with cheaper ticket price back than in the day what is about to be asked in my opinion. You won’t be wrong. People that think the same kind of crowd at Bills games will be attending at the new stadium are going to be in for a rude awakening. The game day experience will be nothing like we see every Sunday now. 
 

Most people that wanted open air vs a dome because it would affect the game day experience are going to be priced out anyway.
