For sure. I was going to say this is a weird thing for the NFL to allow a company to buy a team. Maybe they will roll back to the better Denver uniforms. How much are the Rockies worth? $2.27 Billion according to Google. Again...it's not Walmart. The company owns none of those teams. Individual people do. This would be like saying Microsoft owned the Seahawks when Paul Allen owned the team. It's false and makes you look like you are clueless.

These are individual people acting out of their own interest without anything to do with Walmart the company. And it's just one of the inaccuracies in the thread title Technically the thread title is correct. The heirs that are buying the Broncos own the majority of the shares of Walmart. And majority ownership is basically an extension of self. So for all practical intents, saying Walmart is buying the Broncos is correct. While it’s true, the company itself isn’t buying the Broncos, the people who own Walmart are buying the Broncos. So basically Walmart money bought the Broncos.

So basically Walmart money bought the Broncos. It absolutely is not. Because Walmart buying them would constitute decisions being made by the Board of Directors versus a single person and decisions made would reflect Walmart decisions. It's irrelevant how many shares they own of it, they are acting as their own entity having nothing to do with a Board of Directors from that company. Not to mention all of the ramifications legally and financially that are completely different if they were owned by a publicly traded company.
