I love the Pat Mcafee show. The best show for great sports related interviews.

this seems cut off a bit. If anyone has the entire interview, please post

You're right, that's just a small clip. He was on for 20 minutes. I love that he's a semi-regular on Pat's show and let's his hair down on their show much more than others.

From 34:03 - 54:07

the most identifiable hairline in WNY..it is iconically Brandon Beane am I right?

LOL I think he is so smart saavy and speaks his Truth ....I loved the interview.

on a sidenote when Elam received his draft notice call...Brandon commented to he specifically "Great Interview"....how a person communicates is important.  Clearly Brandon Beane and his team thought so too and Elam impressed the Bills brain trust.

The interview has always been interesting to me, I think maybe because it's the part of the draft process we get the least insight on.

I loved seeing clips of the interviews during the Bills Embedded series.

Seeing Kaiir pull out his notebook of his own negative plays so he knows what he needs to work on was super impressive. That screams "process" to me.

Not having the interviews is a big part of what throws off mock drafts and draft pundits, I think.

Man, what a great representative for the Buffalo Bills.  He fits into the Pat McAfee show style really well.  Not everyone can match that energy and still be themselves.  Thanks for sharing OP.

McAfee invites getting his quests to let their hair down. It’s what he does. Credit BBB for complying.

Cool tidbits on the in-person team facility visits.  Beane gets a summary from the pro scout assigned to escort the player and includes comments from the driver, equipment managers, athletic trainers etc.  He said that sometimes the player may rub the lower echelon people the wrong way and that will drop them down the board.

100%, no doubt.  I've been honest before that I was a "wrong Josher", and that one of my mistakes was totally misunderstanding how critically important the interpersonal and personal character aspect is, when choosing a player.

These guys are all about to be fabulously wealthy by most people's standards.   A 4th round draft choice like Gabe Davis has already earned $2M in 2 years.  That puts them all in the top 0.5% of incomes, and most of the people outside pro sports who are at that level have worked at it for a couple decades after college.  It takes a lot of character to maintain that "burning desire to be the best every week" that McDermott talked about, in the face of that kind of money and the public attention any football player attracts.

What a pleasure to listen to Brandon Beane talking about the draft.

What a great thing to have this guy as our Bills' GM! After 20 years of sub-par GMs, we finally have the best GM!

Thank you for posting this video.

Agree. Plus do many/any prognosticators have the info the teams get from the players' coaches (college and HS), teammates, etc. That stuff (along with a detailed interview) means so much more than things like Wonderlick scores,  which seem to get eo much attention.  Thankfully this year, they were much less discussed this year. At least that's my impression

Anyone know what day this interview was from? I wanna go find the full length clip!

It's the 2nd appearance in 2 or 3 mos, pretty cool. Pats gotta fill slots but there's no doubt he recognizes Beane has a cool chemistry with that shows vibe. You'll get a lot of candid insider info on the day in day out kinda stuff that takes place. Really cool hearing that kinda stuff.

We have a great GM.  I hope he stays for a long time.

Agree. We may criticize some of the moves but I wouldn’t trade him for any other GM. After watching the last 2 Super Bowls,  I really wanted more draft investment in the OL. That said, I still love the big baller!

Great interview. I love McAfee and what he brings to the table. He's got a great balance between dry ESPN type stuff, and Barstool where coaches players might be a touch hesitant to associate with.

Beanes a cool cat. Surprised at how much inside baseball he gives. GMs are so secretive and rightfully so, but giving the fans a little taste is cool. Not exactly giving out trade secrets lol
