Ex-Jet on an extremely cheap contract, it would be no big deal to let him go.

Quality of his play is a big deal. Why would we let go somebody who is like 100% top 5 WR on our roster? Makes absolutely no sense to me.

And the fact that he is on a cheap contract makes it even less likely.

Depending on how disgruntled he gets… possibly Poyer. Would kinda hate to break up that safety pairing, but there’s Neal and Johnson behind him, yes?

Poyer is still under contract.

Ford saves money but I still think he stays. They will give him one last shot under new OL coach and it's not like we have better options.

Haack is gone for sure but he saves only a little money. I think its less than $400k if you consider that he needs to be replaced by Araiza.

Don't you think that Matakevich could be cut? Cutting him saves quite a lot. Any chance that Spector (or anybody else) pushes him off the roster?

I'd be surprised if Matakevich is cut. Is it possible? Yes. But I'd be surprised. For Ford to stay he has to be AT LEAST their best backup lineman. If he is not that then he is overpaid for what value he offers the team.

Because it could be that all he knows is how to lose. Last thing you want on a true Super Bowl contender is someone who is anti-clutch. Maybe he steps up & I will tip my hat to him, maybe he’s the next Jeremy Kerley.

You people on this crusade are going to be awfully disappointed when his 5th year option and long term extension get signed.   I can't wait

Wouldn't be at all surprised if this happens, at the least he's there for this season with $12 mil guaranteed and no one else to play MLB

Overall think Ford will be back unless they sign another experiences IOL.  He still may be their best and maybe only backup IOL

Good chance either Moss or Johnson are gone

Sweeney may be gone barring a strong camp.

IMO Matakevich could be gone.  A lot will depend on how they feel about some of these rookies taking their ST spots.   Think if it comes down to him or Jones they keep Jones.

I’m telling you, it isn’t a given that Araizia replaces Haack based on what Beane said.  Remember the Bills had a punter with a pretty strong leg in Bojorquez.  They replaced him with Haack, knowing that he wasn’t as powerful as a punter, but that was an excellent directional punter and holder.  If that’s what they value, than I think Bass has an inside track on the position.  Araizia is going to have to impress in those areas to win the job.

I guess I could see a scenario where Moss is traded, though my guess is he will assume the TJ Yeldon inactive RB3 role.

Im not a fan of Epinesa, but I think his job is safe considering the Bills brought back a veteran like Shaq to push him.  He’ll have to have a terrible a TC to get released/traded.

The WR room could get interesting.  The only players I’m certain of will be Diggs, Davis, and Shakir.

I don’t anticipate Crowder or McKenzie get cut but Shakir has similar attributes, so you never know.

I think the last spot will be interesting with Kumerow/Hodgins/Stevenson

There is zero chance Haack is our punter next year. Unless Araiza gets injured.

What is the obsession with punters being holders these days? It used to be the backup QBs...

I guess it's so the backup QB doesn't have to leave to do special teams drills during practice and the specialists can just be off by themselves?

I think Ford will be gone. Haack will be gone. They both save money and Brandon told Brown and Tasker today he still needs to save money to have a contingency fund for in season.

How much money will Ford save when you factor in paying his replacement... Isnt it likely who they keep in his place will cost more?

Im not saying he makes the team, but his cost wont be the reason..

He's not worth the money, he has poor instincts, the kid we drafted is his replacement sooner than later bank on it, there's only so much money to go around

The kid we drafted is a Milano clone.  And will most likely replace him eventually.  Milano will be 28

His replacement is already included in the top 51. You are cutting Ford, saving $1.5m and instead the 53rd roster spot is going to a rookie. It isn't like they need to go and sign someone else.

If he makes the team  it will be at the expense of Quessonberry or Mancz... one of whom I assume you have in your 51... Boettger is no doubt headed for IR /Practice Squad at the start of the season...

Yeah they don't really save anything cutting Matakevich or Smith Jr..   Maybe $300K if the player that replaces them is a rookie.   Insignificant.   If they are cut it will be because of their play and/or the trajectory the staff feels they are on versus one of the slightly cheaper options.

Haack - They drafted Araiza and they aren't keeping two Punters. Araiza would get plucked from the PS on day one.

Shaq Lawson - He has been on three teams since leaving the Bills. When the Dolphins, Texans and Jests don't want you, that's a big red flag.

Duke Johnson - I think he was signed to be the receiving threat out of the backfield and that position now belongs to Cook. IMO, they'll keep the younger Moss for the Yeldon role and let Duke find another team.

Kumerow might make it as a primary gunner this year because they will also need him as outside receiver depth (🤢) which for the first time means I don't think Taiwan Jones, who did look like he had lost half a step in 2021, is a lock.

Kumerow like other Bills gets disrespected because he is used as a WR blocker.
