Seems like Lamar Jackson isn't pleased with the Ravens tonight

(Warning: Random reference coming)

The Rodgers drama reminds me of a particular dialog in Die Hard. Towards the end, where it becomes obvious that Hans (the terrorist) is collecting his haul from the safe, the Bonnie bedelia character says "so after all the posturing about justice, this was only about the money"

🙂

There is no such thing

Doesn't change the fact that the Ravens didnt do him any favors by shipping off one of his main targets. I am not a LJ fan either but this makes little sense to me (less than the AJ Brown trade which was a $$ move)

He doesn't?

Yup!

Lots of posters here bit on it...

Sure, but it’s also wise to treat your employees well. It doesn’t matter what any of us think about Lamar. Trading away your QBs favorite receiver isn’t what a team that likes their QB does.

I would point at Green Bay but then the relationship between La Fleur and Rodgers has appeared, at the very least, strained for a long time.

Lamar should probably not react on Twitter as the franchise qb

Well, there in lies the rub…,

I'd trade him if I were the Ravens.  His value is extremely high right now and it's clear the team doesn't want to give him Mahomes/Allen money, which is what I think he is gunning for.

A team like Seattle would pay for him and sign him to a long term deal.  This is why you have an agent - he can shop you around to teams that would give you a big payday and ensure your contract has the right set of protections on your behalf.  Penny wise, pound foolish on his part.

According to the Ravens, they want to pay him but Jackson won't talk to them and he doesn't have an agent

This is still a thing?

Rodgers gave his blessing to the Adams traded and said nothing when they let M V-S go.  He doesn't care.  That drama 2 years ago was, as it obviously turns out, was all an act.  Got him his 50 mil per, which was all he wanted.  He's cool with all this.

Really?

This was well reported months ago.

While Aaron Rodgers was negotating his contract, he knew Davante Adams would never play for the #Packers again. The situation was too far gone. Something had to give. And when Adams informed GB he wasn’t playing on the tag, talks got fired up. Now, Adams will be on the #Raiders. twitter.com/RapSheet/statu…

I don't really think Lamar is a top end QB in the long term, but Baltimore is not doing him any favors by trading Hollywood. Could he be out of Baltimore soon?

Except that Marquise Brown has been repeatedly and publicly unhappy in Baltimore.

Which Lamar Jackson knew about.

Brown asked for a trade. That LJ didn't know this is strange.

....incorrect, according to Brown, who said he had multiple convos with Lamar about not liking the Ravens "system"
