Personally, I think it's Mayfield, but they didn't want to give up this year's picks. The HC is certainly getting a warm seat and the GM might be there too. They need a good season so giving up next year's pick to keep your job is more palatable. ..or the complete opposite and they have a reprieve and preparing for a QB next offseason. The Browns are now seeing a chance to offload Mayfield. Considering how the clock ticked down I think the Panthers wanted to move down the board but had no takers.
