  1. 1. What will happen round 1

If Hamilton or possibly Williams falls to the middle of the first round, I see BBB trading up for either.

If someone in their top 20 falls to 25, they'll take that guy.

Otherwise, find a partner and trade back.

WHO are we giving up the farm for ??

Great question. I like Derek Stingley, Jameson Williams, or Kyle Hamilton personally. Or if one of the top guys starts to fall for some reason. I feel like there's not a lot of open roster spots on this team so might as well go all in on a guy that you know is going to be an immediate impact player. 6th and 7th round draft picks won't make this team and will just get poached off the practice squad if they are any good so it's a waste of a pick imo

Interesting article by Joe B  in today's Athletic about trading up or down.  Overall his thinking is because this is viewed as a weak draft in round 1, you might be able to trade up for less than full value.  12 to 15 was his sweet spot and he was pushing to do that to then pick Hamilton.  That obviously assumes he's available there.  Some folks will say he'll be long gone, but Joe's take on it is his value is all over the map.

Conversely he thinks would be hard to trade down as teams aren't going to give up much to move up to 25.  The one exception was if 2 QB's are already selected, Tenn picks 26th and rumored to be thinking QB could grab the last one.  So a team may want to trade with the Bills to get ahead of Tenn.  One of his thoughts was Detroit as they have 2 2nd rounders so could trade one to Bills plus think it was 3rd rounder.

The Bills either trade back (which is unlikely) or they more than likely "let the draft come to them" and just sit back and see who is the best player or players available at pick 25.

I agree with this. I don’t understand how we are supposed to decide if we should move (up or down) or stay put without knowing who is available and what it will cost. This is one of those situations where I can’t have an opinion without having more information. Having said that, I’m glad Beane is making the call, and NOT ME! I promise, you don’t want me making the call either. (I may or may not have been a “wrong Josh” guy.)

The current roster has almost no holes for starters and has depth at most positions.  Keeping all our picks just means good players get put on the practice squad and become emergency fill-ins for other teams.  I'm tired of seeing Bills picks plucked away.  Better IMHO to reduce the number of picks overall by 1-3 and get higher positions / better players.  CB/OL/WR and maybe safety.

In the later rounds, sure. But the argument for trading down from 25 is different. Most draftniks agree that the players picked from 25-50 will not have much separation in their draft grade. So do you want to take just one of those players rated slightly higher than the rest, or do you want to pick two of those players? If the difference from player 25 to player 50 is minimal obviously you would take option two. If there's a player sticking out at 25, like Andrew Booth for example, then you might take option one instead.

There will be several QB needy teams possibly vying to jump other QB needy teams at the end of the 1st round so we're in a good position to trade down if we want to.

Personally I don't think the Bills will make the pick at 25. I think they will try their best to trade up for Jameson Williams. If unsuccessful I think they will trade down with a team like Seattle and get two picks in the top 50.

The Bills are slated to pick at #25 overall. As per BBB himself, they only have roughly 20 players with 1st round grades. It's also supposed to be a historically deep draft with a lot of good talent in the middle rounds.

Based on this, do you think we try to TRADE UP to get one of those top 20 guys, wait it out until 25 and hopefully someone falls to us, or TRADE BACK and collect more middle round picks?

This really depends on how the draft plays out.  Any of the three options could be the smartest move depending on the situations.  This draft has so many unknowns.

The "Bills don't have many roster spots left" narrative is grossly overplayed.    Tasker tried to sell that to Beane in the interview today and Beane pointed out exactly why they have plenty of roster spots.   There are positions they might not draft due to depth..........like they didn't at CB in the early rounds last year because they didn't think a 2nd or 3rd rounder could beat out Dane Jackson(per Beane).........but it's very easy to find positions where they need depth even before the inevitability of injuries.

My strong preference would be to trade up for Jameson. Lot of pundits playing GM talking about KC trading up for the next Tyreek Hill. No one mentions the Bills. We need to be proactive. There are three cbs I would be good with in the first as well; Sauce, Stingley, and Booth. The only one of those players that might fall close to 25 is Booth. This is a year where I hope Beane's good relationship with Schoen allows a trade up to 7. I absolutely would trade next year's first, which you have to believe is late, hopefully 32, in order to grab one of the few dynamic players at a position that merits the first round pick.

Even ignoring depth, there will be imminent needs on the team next offseason at pretty much every position. The only non-specialist position that is fully locked up and set for the next 2 years is QB. The top heavy part of the long awaited rebuild is complete. The pipeline part of the rebuild will never end.

Poyer and a pick to go up to 7 for Hamilton? Poyer gets his $, the Giants get a leader on defense to build around, and Bills get a dynamic and cheaper replacement for the next 5 years

wishful. but the G-men got cap issues, they have to fix a couple big contracts just to sign their draft picks, Poyers 10M plus pending extension request are likely too big for them this season, it would take our number 1 plus our number two plus another number 2 (next year maybe)  just to get close and that doesnt seem attractive enough for me for the Giants to make the deal excluding Poyer.

If they sign him to a new long term deal as part of it the first year cap hit can be next to nothing if it's his signing bonus

The bolded is another reason why they may trade out of one of their early picks. And I’ll admit I don’t know this but I’m sore it wouldn’t be hard to look it up. I’m just not going to bother doing it. But…. If they were going to struggle signing their draft picks, wouldn’t it make sense that they would eliminate some of that struggle by removing a 2nd first round pick off their payroll? What is the expected cost of a player at pick 7? Again, I don’t know if it would even be that big of an issue, but it does warrant being talked about.
