Overrated??  He was one of the best CBs in the league when he was in Buffalo, which was an absolute dumpster fire at the time.  He wanted to get paid and win.  Buffalo was dedicated to neither and he ended up doing both with New England.  Not sure why that makes him the bad guy.

Plus there was a loud contingent of Bills fans who did nothing but bad mouth him while he was here.

Though I'm not sure he's worth the cash it would take at this stage of his career.

He only played 8 games last year.  In terms of a contract, he’s certainly a prime candidate for some NLTBE ( not likely to be earned) incentives that won’t effect the 2022 cap.  Hard to believe MCBeane is gonna roll with Dane Jackson and a rookie at CB when they are clearly in all-in mode.

No more Gilmore

please.

he was overrated and IIRC said some bad 💩 when he left.

His ego was also overinflated

He was an Un Happy Gilmore

that he was excited to win more isn’t terrible talking points. He had been under dysfunctional regimes. We would say the same trash about Rex and we were much less impacted

Gilmore only cares about himself, so he'll go to the team who gives him the most money. I have doubts that the Bills will be that team.

He is a good cornerback, though, when he plays hard. But the minute he is disgruntled about something, he'll go into self preservation mode and avoid all risk.

Was his personality kinda crappy?  Yep

Did he appear to be aloof at times?  Yep

Was he a top 5 Cb in the league at his peak?  Yep

He would be a huge upgrade and would undoubtedly improve our odds of winning it all.

With that said, I don't see how the Bills will be able to match whatever the top bidder can offer and I'm not so sure he would take a discount to be on a Super Bowl contender.

Tre was robbed for DPOY.

IIRC Tre had better stats

the Cheaters players seem to get the nod when no deserving

Even if you think that, that would still mean he was runner up to DPOY.  Point is, he is better than you are saying he was.

We can’t logically find the $ to reasonably make the hard cap.  It’s just not feasible.  Sure, he would add to the team, but he wants too much and Beane already was quite aggressive in restructuring to find the $ for Miller and others.  It’s said often, but this isn’t Madden.

You can only push the can down the road so far.  New Orleans just started to feel it from their recent decisions over the last five years.

Can you really blame him for not wanting to be part of the Nix-era Bills?

I don't care how bad you want out, you still go out on the field and you play the game as a professional.

During his last season with the Bills, Gilmore half-assed it. You could see it. That's no different than what Vontae Davis did.
