I really don't understand top talent that signs with teams just because the monetary value of the contract is 5-10% more. No state taxes help of course, but still. I disagree, I think Miami while not great will most likely be 2nd in the East. Neither Pats or Jets are doing ***** this season or beyond. Where does that put them in the conference in your opinion? Maybe 9th? They have a solid roster. They are decent, and at this point I would put them above the Pats. But the Dolphins have a first time head coach with new schemes and still plenty of weak spots. It's hard to see Miami putting it all together immediately under McDaniel, especially with the limitations at qb. The defense which was built in the NE style for Flores most likely takes a couple of steps back with scheme change. They still have the same QB - so maybe 3rd or 4th best in AFC east. The Jets have gotten better and NE started better than them. I think all 3 are in a dog fight for finishing 9-8 to 6-11 and missing the playoffs.
