After Wildgoose and Anderson were poached, I hope they use those later picks (185, 203, 231) to move around the board in the middle rounds.  We need inexpensive talent and can't be wasting picks on guys who will get cut or poached.

As it stands, give me CB, WR, IOL in the first 3 rounds.  Then with the remaining draft: OT, CB, RB, TE, LB, P are all options.

In theory that sounds good.... but 6th and 7th rounders don't move you very far in the mid rounds.

I wonder if they will package Edmunds and a pick to move up.  If they can get one of the Georgia LBs for example, lower the cap hit and solve the problem for the next 4-5 years at a lower cost.

That is an interesting thought.  I feel there's an eerie quiet on the Edmunds situation.  However, their bringing in his former college teammate....would lead one to believe they're keeping him.

I’d say I’m 90% sure I’m done with them.  I’ll still post and do other things, but I think it’s time.

Alrighty. Well deserved break from it.

Enjoy the season!

The only guy I could see them moving up for is Sauce Gardner.

How many roster spots do we have open?

It depends on Bates signing or Ford’s making the team, Doyle too…

If Bates stays I think we end up with two new OL unless they really like Doyle.

So, I think two there.

LOL, no more on O unless a RB beats out Johnson but I doubt it.

As many as three new CBs could make the roster. Tre will start out injured reserve.

We usually carried three outside guys but that was shallow, imho… if we drafted three guys that could play outside well, I’d consider going one short at Nickleback and S. Having said that they probably add two new guys.

We need a fast outside WR. So one WR.

A punter…

I don’t know how we’ll handle kicks this year but I doubt we carry a specialist.

Maybe one of the new CBs returns punts?

I guess Crowell can return too. I don’t want Hyde returning though….

We could draft a LB to challenge for second string and if he’s good enough, maybe Edmunds replacement next season? Although we’d probably need a high pick to get a better LB than Edmunds…. I know people don’t want to hear stuff like this but part of me is concerned it is just our defense that makes Tremaine play weird…. I hope that is not the case. If it is, it doesn’t matter who we draft…LOL….

Anyway, that’s two OL, two CBs, WR, P, LB…. Seven picks…. We can fill out the roster for camp with UDFAs.

Go Bills!

PS - I’m already dying to see this new team. If the DL and secondary are a lot better we win, imho…

I think the O is going to be better because we will have a better OL…

I think I could use all 8 picks: CB, WR, OL, CB, OL, LB, P, CB…. It’s possible all 3 CBs make it…

Completely agree. Use all 3 late picks to move up in the 3-5 round.

Realistically how many positions do we have available on this roster?  If there was ever a year to bundle some pics to move up and get the guy you want this is the year in my opinion.

If the Bills are going all in...yes it is a great time to move up!

I mostly agree. No way Beane drafts 8 players this year.  I expect at least a couple of the later picks to be used to move up in the 2nd or 3rd rounds, or to turn the 4th into a 3rd.  I'm counting on at least one late round pick being used on a punter, but probably not Araiza...I don't think we'll be punting often enough to justify more than a 6th rounder on this position and it will have to be someone who can hold for FGs, which Araiza has never done.

100% agree, my hope is we package some picks to move back into the 3rd.
my ultimate hope is the QB love continues to rise.  Allowing a CB to fall back to 25.

That's cool.

Just give us your thoughts after we win the Super Bowl.

Good teams historically picked best player available as they had a great roster.

Today great teams pick to fill a spot for immediate impact. I think the causes are 1) huge portion of cap spent on a few players, 2) a great team must have strong impact from rookie salary cap to be great.

So the Bills must pick to fill biggest weakness at draft time. Depending on FA pick up it will be cb or oline. No other option.

All other picks would be wasting on the field playing time next year...a Superbowl year. The future does not matter...they are playing for the ultimate NOW.
