Honestly got worse with him. Hated by fans, no draft picks and no cap left to help him.

The fans that are ok with him will turn sour quickly with what he has to work with.

Just saw that at least the first year,  Watson will only cist $10m against the cap,  actually saving $8.5m vs Mayfield this year,  so they should still have money for some more help.

Baker is still there though. How comical will it be if nobody makes an offer for Mayfield and he is stuck with the team?

3 first round picks, a 3rd round pick and a 4th round pick.   Cleveland gets Watson and a 5th round pick...   WOW.   IDIOTS

ESPN

The Browns and Texans are still finalizing the trade compensation, but the Texans are expected to receive three first-round picks, a third-round pick and a fourth-round pick while sending a fifth-round pick back to Cleveland along with Watson, league sources told ESPN.

The Browns are also set to give Watson a new five-year, $230 million contract, sources told Schefter. He would receive $184 million over the first four years of his new contract -- a $48 million raise over what he was scheduled to make under his current contract.

And knowing the Texans they use those three firsts on a punter, long snapper, and kick returner.

Wow if that's the first year, Cleveland is looking at no first round picks AND cap hell in a few years

Well, since Progressive may ditch it's Baker at home campaign, maybe the stadium can reinvent itself as Deshaun's Massage Envy home ads.

Or they'll try to film an at home with Deshaun ad for Progressive but as the camera approaches the stadium its all btch slappin and ripped shirts running away screaming

One "great" year - chasing garbage yards every game.  They went 3-13

Tbf he was amazing even in the 3-13 year, but the incompetent organization kept steadily dismantling all this help & relevant teammates...

70% completion rating with 8.5 yards per completion is insane, and every other QBs in history who pulled it off won the SB that year. Watson went 3-13.

That speaks volumes to how bad that team was. So unfortunately, it looks like the AFC is stuck with another great QB.

Teams will trade for him. The only question is if Cleveland can get a 1st for him or have to settle for a day 2 pick instead.

Due to my job im well aware of how easy it is to indict someone. It doesnt take much at all. Not to get political, but not being able to indict Watson in TEXAS of all places, on any of the charges, leads me to believe the allegations were quite overblown if not downright false.

If we can move past the dog killer Vick we can get past Watson saying “hey wanna see this rocket?”

Some didn’t get over Vick either.

TBH, I'm not sure the trade for Watson and his new contract can go through if the Browns don't ship Mayfield out

Maybe it's fairer to say other contracts.  Spotrac has Watson "pencilled in" but there are several players signed whose contract details aren't "in" yet and Cleveland only has $2.6M of cap showing.
