Dawkins, White, and Allen restructures. Convert base into bonus. Comes to around $10 million cap space. There are other things they can do also like extend Poyer or Edmunds. Many people are wondering that exact same thing.  Why haven’t they secured a CB yet? Why not sign a CB2 over TE2 (Howard) DT4 (Phillips), DE4 (Lawson), CB4(Neal) or WR4 (McKenzie)?  All those depth positions could’ve been drafted and be less than $2 million total cap. Instead they spent a decent amount of cap filling those depth roles while CB2 is left unfilled.  Maybe it’s as simple as they already have a verbal agreement with someone like Joe Haden but are wait to them until after the draft.
