Yea, if only NFL wasn't trying to find ways to eliminate specials teams.

This ain't your grandpas football anymore.

signing guys who only play special teams to anything more than minimum or slightly above is bad.

Nonsense. Gunners and returners especially still have value and the Bills are not the only team to think that.

Seriously, a 30-year old special teams player! We can't find that in the later rounds of the draft!?

I am sure there is not a lot of guaranteed money in this deal and it will be a cheap deal. If they find a better, cheaper, alternative in the draft they will cut Kumerow before the season.

Punts and kickoffs can't be dispensed with soon enough.

All they do is keep non-players.......like Haack, Kumerow, Matakevich and Taiwan...........employed while giving us extra tv timeouts after touchbacks, fair catches and balls rolling to a stop while the clock runs.

And I will tell you that they are wrong. Especially now that the NFL is looking at the XFL rules and are going to have

Is that why Andre Roberts continues to get bounced around the league?

Cause coaches think oh we need that guy, and then he gets cut because "Hes too expensive for what he brings"

The only special teamers that matter are Kicker, punter, long snapper.

If your punter is god awful, your gunners don't matter.

If the NFL gets rid of special teams I'll agree with you. Until then you gunners do matter, returners do matter and you are talking nonsense.

This BETTER be for the minimum. So sick of paying marginal special teams players big money for little contribution

Don’t worry, it’s not your money. The Bills got this one.

Do NOT underestimate Special Teams and versatility/depth.

This is why Rodgers has no weapons.

wut

The NFL and XFL teamed up and the NFL is using the XFL as a league to test out rules basically. They are going to collaborate.

Majority of major injures happen on special teams plays, they are going to do everything they can to reduce that.

This is another indicator that Buffalo is a player destination.  Kumerow could've gone to Green Bay.  He's a hard worker, a special teams strength, and is a good blocker.  And he knows his job.

If Kumerow signed for the league minimum then maybe you are right.    But Green Bay is in much worse cap shape than Buffalo so they weren't likely to be be in the market for a 5th or 6th receiver for above league minimum.

Or maybe I don't like wasting what little cap we have on special teams only players who can't do much of anything like Tyler Matakevich

Tyler Matakevich? You mean the STs guy who made the game-turning play against the Pats on STs, recovering that surprise onside kick? That guy?

Yeah, well, OK, I guess.

I think that all but guarantees Taiwan Jones is done. Kumerow got mixed in some as a gunner last year. They have signed Neal and he to contracts. Jones is about to turn 34.... so I think the timing is right.

So - there's a roster position up for grabs - will it revert to rb or maybe get allocated somewhere else? TE?

Your killing me,😁 “this better be for league minimum “  or what? Are you gonna go on a rant, and subject all of us to your musings…?,  nuthin but  luv dude, but really…? Beane is in a tight financial position, he needs a hand full of above average players at important positions, he’s not giving JK the keys to the city,

Go Bills!!!

How is Kumerow an above average player at an important position?
