Diontae is the number 1 - 63.3% of targets, 169 targets for 107/1161/8.  Short aDOT but thats to be expected with Ben at QB.  He had 5 drops in 2021 after 13 in 2020.

Diggs caught 62.8% of targets 164 targets for 103/1225/10.  His aDOT was 11.1 after 10.1 in 2020.  Diggs also had 5 drops after 8 in 2020.

My guess is the Giants.  Daboll request and give him a fat guarantee - then decline jones option and move him to someone like pittsburgh, washington, or TB.

Proof that stats don’t tell the whole story, if you watched the Steelers this year, you know Dionte dropped 5 balls in one game, the guy is not good, nor is the tracking of actual drops.

He still caught 107 actual passes on 169 targets.  And I don't need to watch every steelers pass play to know that there are a number of trash Ben throws mixed in there.

Washington's new tight ends coach Juan Castillo was with Trubisky for one season in Chicago, and Rivera remains tight with Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott and Bills' general manager Brandon Beane. They can provide good insight on Trubisky's development after his one season in Buffalo. Washington left tackle Charles Lenoplayed with Trubisky in Chicago.

Diontae Johnson is the worst drop artist in the league. The drops aren’t Ben’s fault, he could only throw easy 5 yard passes and Diontae was still dropping them.

He was better in 2021 than 2020.  He lists 5 drops on 169 targets for a 3% drop rate.  Ja'Marr chase had 11 drops on 128 targets.  Deebo Samuel had 10 drops on 121 targets.  Kelce had 10 drops on 124.  etc.

The worst was Kamara with 9 drops on 67 targets for a 13.4% drop rate.

(2) Charles Robinson on Twitter: "Quick note on a QB not named Wilson or Rodgers: Spoke to a team in the thick of it for a competitive backup QB in free agency, and they have a strong belief that Mitchell Trubisky is going to end up with the New York Giants and competing with Daniel Jones for the starting job." / Twitter
