Are we the slowest team in the league?

By 40 time just some random speed positions.  Not one 4.3 guy and D in particular very slow.

I could do more for other teams but we have literally 0 burners on this team.  The fastest guys we have are McKenzie and Jones who aren't even starters. On D other than white we have no one under 4.5.

Feels like we need to draft some speed this year to keep up with some of the burners we will have to deal with over the next few years.

Diggs  4.46

McKenzie 4.42

Gabe 4.54

Beasley 4.49

Tre 4.47

Wallace 4.63

Hyde 4.56

Singletary 4.66

Knox 4.59

In comparison chiefs

Hill 4.29

Hardman 4.33

Helaire 4.6

Kelce 4.61

Mathieu 4.51

Sneed 4.37

Ward 4.44

Pringle 4.46

Mckinnon 4.41

Outside of Knox they are faster at every position.

Let's throw in a few from Bengals and 9ers.

Chase 4.38

Higgins 4.39

Mixon 4.41

Deebo 4.48

Mitchell 4.35

Aiyuk 4.49

Bills are dead last in YAC.

Top 3 teams are all in the conference championship games.

They are also 3 of the best screen teams in the league.   Which helps with Yac.  As does speed.  Chase as taken like 6 5-10 yard passes to the house this year.   Some were against zone where he was standing still when he caught then he just accelerated away from everyone.

That's speed.

Hill and Hardman catch WR screens a bunch and get huge yac yards.  Speed.

The Bills not being in the championship game has literally zero to do with YAC given the offensive performance the last couple of games. They should be in the game but choked on defense.

Partially by the design of the plays...most of the crossing routes are deep overs where Allen hits them near the sideline and they run out of bounds or the players are facing Allen when they catch the ball.

Stevenson is 4.3 guy and likely projects as more of a slot receiver in the NFL. The problem with him is he seems to get injured a lot.

And that he sucks at football. Did you see him returning kicks?

He may have straight line speed but if he tries to make a cut it looks like he's moving in sand.

This and lack of screens and playing against zone most times.

Stevenson and L'il Dirty prob get long looks this season.   Again, offensive production doesn't seem to be an issue.

Go draft a fast fast corner #1 .  There are a few in this draft.

I would be shocked if Beane doesn't go fast corner #1, with all the speed guys at WR in the AFC.

Or he doesn't cut at all and just slams into the guy in front of him.  It's a very unique return style he has

Obviously.

The point is we need playmakers on offense.

Allen can't single handedly carry this offense for the next ten years.

Which is strange because he was in the 100th percentile for 3 cone with a blazing 6.46.

A lot of straight line burners aren't as good as someone who is quick on their feet in terms of short butst speed and reaction to what is around them. Hill is not only the fastest player in the league, but he has those quickness attributes.

Eyeball test says yes, or at least, of the better teams we definitely don't have the speed that the others do.  Remember what The Pork Faced Satan said, after torching the Bills in 2 Super Bowls "Speed Kills"

Watching Milano trying to cover Kelce was just embarrassing.  Same for whomever was supposed to cover Tyreek Hill.  Jamb them on the line?  Why no, of course not, that would be positively unsportsmanlike!  Rather that we should lose with honor!
