Your scenario would have gave the chefs the ball at our 45 with no clock or timeouts used. 

 

Let's do one that doesn't make us look like dummies now. 

1. Kick ball high and just short of goal line forcing a return. You know like we've done all year long. 

2. Play the cover two defense you've played all game long except only rush one or two or just have them spy the QB. 

3. Double hill and Kelce. 

4. Celebrate good times come on

Or don't even rush anyone.  I think 2 would have been the right number, but rushing nobody is better than rushing 4.

4.  1st down at the 35 with 4 seconds: Knock down the Hail Mary.

5.  Host AFC Championship vs. Bengals

6.  Win 1st Superbowl vs Rams

7.  No longer losers.

 

 

 

if you commit back to back defensive penalties to manipulate the clock it is a 15 yard penalty and the time is reset.  They could of done it one time and I would of liked to see them do it one time but man don't play the safeties 30+ yards off the LOS

It doesn't have to be back to back plays - multiple infractions on the same play, if deemed to be purposeful clock manipulation, can be called for the penalty.

Yep, your right. However, it still doesn’t change that the NFL is moving to more of a passing/offensive game.
 

We just saw the leagues number 1 defense get smoked by a top offense, furthermore, since the playoff OT rule change (happened sometime around 2012 I believe), the coin flip winner is 9-1 (where as in the regular season the coin flip winner wins at just about 53% of the time). 

 

I will qualify this by saying, there is more data for the regular season, and thus perhaps the playoff coin flip winner’s win percentage will regress towards the mean.
 

However, the playoffs also have the best of the best, and maybe, the best offenses are beginning to beat the best defenses. Either way, a full football team consists of offense, defense, and special teams. I believe in such a close game in the post season, we (the fans) want to see the best TEAM move on, and that would require both offense and defense getting a chance. 
 

But as you said, this issue wasn’t even brought up for a vote. So the NFL doesn’t appear to be keen on making the change.

I'll admit I wasn't aware of the "intentional foul to kill the clock" scenario until after the game.  That doesn't mean you can't manipulate the situation to your advantage.  Have two DB's in Hill and Kelce's face and be aggressive with them.  If a hold is called on one or both so be it.  Can you imagine the guts the head ref would have to have to call that intentional and give them 15 yards and no time on the clock?  

 

I don't know about no rushing anyone but of course, rush two or three max.  The two plays are absolutely mind-blowing in how badly botched they were.  There's Hill with a two man escort in front of him and not a Bill within 10 - 15 yards of him.  Where are the safeties on the Kelce catch?  I am 100% convinced that the previous Hill touchdown scared them so ####less that the defense was designed not to give up a game winning TD.  Stupid, stupid stupid.
