Everyone knows that the official has to spot the ball. He would of had time if he turned and handed it to the judge running up. The Judge had to try to get through the line - Dak and the line blocked him - it was 100% their fault. Additionally Dak and the center tried to spot the ball - you can see the line judge on the outside mark the spot and the judge has to move the ball to the spot. It was an incredibly stupid play call, but even worse job of Dak and the offense knowing the situation and what must be done. The ref absolutely hustled in there and then was blocked by the players to get the ball, not sure what else he’s supposed to do. He had the spot to mark it and the clock should not be stopped because why should they get an advantage why they were stupid. Look Dak should have thrown it away, or tried with all his heart to get out of bounds. It isn't his first game in the NFL and he should have knew the rule if he didnt. If the Cowboys spot it in the wrong place - shouldn’t he correct it? There is a reason that we’ll coached teams know that they immediately give the ball to an official. Every well coached team late in the game with the clock running - look for the officials and get the ball spotted ASAP. Dak was stupid and compounded the stupidity by not getting the ball to a Ref.
