It looks like Saturday will be the second or third coldest game ever at Rich/The Ralph/Highmark.

I was at the top two coldest.

We had to keep our quarter keg in the car at the Raiders game, with the heat on, to get it flowing again because the tap froze. Beer was freezing in the solo cups faster that we could drink it….. though we made every effort💪

At one of the two games the plumbing died in a large chunk of the stadium. Although I was hammered at the time I distinctly remember guys just pissing on the wall next to one of the ramps…. 50 guys at a time.

We won both games. This bodes well for Saturday.

Let’s hear your war stories from these games.

One of the guys that was with us showed up in jeans, sneakers and a wind breaker.

About midway thru the 3rd quarter he became unresponsive despite seeming to be alert and still watching the action.     At the end he got up and silently walked to the car and sat in the back seat just staring forward into space and not answering anyone.

We later found out that this is something that happens to a lot of people before they freeze to death.

So keep an eye out for that folks.

The same thing happened to one of the players on the Raiders sideline.........they just piled coats on him and left him there not knowing why he wasn't answering them.

Since that time there have been a lot of advancements..........the clothing tech is MUCH better,  the hand and foot warmers that you put in your shoes and gloves work a lot better and are still cheap and automobiles operate a lot better in the cold.................shouldn't be nearly as dangerous but still there will be some who suffer and hopefully nothing tragic happens.

I was at #2 on the list. I bought my family tickets for Christmas and refused to let them puss out. We were drinking Jameson and hot cocoa from a Thermos out of Styrofoam cups and it was turning into a slushy within minutes. My right foot went so numb that the feeling didn't come back until I had walked the mile+ to the car, and then it burned so bad I wanted it to go away again. It was several years before the feeling was relatively normal again. I'm still not sure why this is one of the Bills memories I pride myself on... 🤷‍♀️

If ever there was a better reason to end this insanity and build a dome... I thoroughly do not enjoy games played in gale force winds, downpours, snow, or ridiculously cold temps, and combinations thereof. BUILD A DOME!!!!!

The most important thing is to keep your feet warm.  Insulated boots are the best choice, and good socks (best to have cotton on first and wool over that) are a second alternative.

Beer slushies.

I wonder if Canadian beer freezes at a lower temperature.

We need a weather sub-forum here.

Like other forums, folks would ignore the sub-forum and continue to post their queries here

"No" to cotton.  "Cotton is rotten".    If you wish 2 layers of socks, both wool IMO.

Make sure your boots aren't tight with whatever quantities and qualities of socks you wear.  Loose boots that allow your feet to move are good.  Chemical toe and handwarmers work well.

Probably not. However, higher alcohol content should reduce the freezing point. Just ditch the light beer and opt for the real stuff.

I was at both of those games as well. I recall at the Jets game drinking in the parking lot and got so cold that some folks who had started a bonfire in the parking lot were letting randoms like my buddy and I get close to it and warm up. I recall sticking my frozen boots right into the embers to heat 'em up.

Two W's though...so it was worth it.

Dress warm with the wind chill it will feel like sub zero,  a look a head shows R.F temps of -3, -4

Why would they schedule a night game when the temps are most likely at the lowest for the day.

That's how it goes. Taking hits in that weather is gonna be brutal, fingers gonna be frozen, hard passes will feel like a rock hitting you.
