Over the years, the Bills have had a lot of likable players who weren't necessarily spectacular on the field. If anyone here was too young to see him play, check out some of his old games. There's a reason they called him the Thurmanator. Dude was close to unstoppable. In fact, just about the only defense for him was us not giving him the ball on a given play. A game like Saturday night? Patriots wouldn't have a prayer. NoHuddleKelly12 Posted January 13, 2022 Share Posted January 13, 2022 (edited) Would definitely recommend checking out some of the NFL Films yearbook videos for the early 90's teams--will leave you with a greater appreciation for what they were able to do and how they made Rich Stadium basically an impossible place for other teams to play at, especially when the weather got bad--the Miami playoff games at home are the most fun to watch, imho. (Same for Thurm with Singletary's jersey, although it's less likely Thurm's perch at the top would ever be upset by any RB's in this pass-happiest O.) Only a loser would see them as losers. There are teams in the NFL that have never played in one Super Bowl let alone 4. Also, losing that game doesn’t negate all the other games they did win. They have gold jackets for good reasons. Losing those Super Bowls was disappointing, but at least they were good enough to have a chance.
