This is what 4 years of Isolationism gets you.

You can’t retreat from the entire world and expect no one else to make a move and fill that void.

There is a point in there somewhere… if trump wasn’t so detestable there is no way a doddering old fool like this one would be in charge now.

So, 40 million people about to be conqured and enslaved by Putin is simply Biden's fault and that's it.

Wow! You are finally getting it

I'm glad to hear you are not advocating military intervention. I may be wrong, but it seems @Tiberius and @BillStime are pretty hip on the idea.

One of them is hip to the idea because he thinks it will make Biden look better.

The other one is hip to the idea because he thinks it will make Trump look worse.

For both, this is purely about domestic politics in November.

Nope, Biden will suffer if he does the right thing. Most politicians do the wrong thing for short term gain. This is standing up for right.

What do you think? Just let Putin do whatever he wants to avoid war, like we did with Hitler in the 1930's?

Oh, so you do not know history.

The reality is the modern American left has adopted the tactics and methods of historical fascist regimes while deluding themselves into believing they're cause is justified by the pursuit of social good. Demonizing and persecuting their political opposition and causing harm to them as they accuse their victims of using the very same tactics they employ.

Nefarious practices employed by the left for "good".  Same as Hitler, right?  Purging the unfit, making a better society for the Reich.  In this case of current day, making America better by purging the ideological unfit.

Now you may object to that description and comparison and accuse those on the right of such behavior but that argument is empty.  Because the left controls almost every institution and organization of society so its hard to reconcile their world view as victims when they are the establishment with almost total control over society.  The left controls the government, the media, corporations, everything.  What does the right control?  Mostly legions of powerless individuals assembling into citizen groups that are demonized by the left.

Biden did send a carrier battle group through the South China Sea and China went ballistic. I guess you did not know that

US carrier battle groups have been operating in the South China Sea since the 40's.

Thank goodness for the strength and resolve of the UN to prevent these situations.

What? What is this suppose to mean?

Maybe UNICEF should stop it, also? 👩‍🎓

No.

On and on for decades.

It's Seventh Fleet's main area of operation.

We have had a carrier permanently based in Japan since Oct 1973 to handle this area, and other west coast based carriers augment it.

Been going on since the end of WWII.

That bit of reality aside, I have no idea what you think would be a good idea re US military response to this, knowing the reality of the situation.

The only thing I have seen you post that suggested anything was a deployment of two squadrons to Ukraine territory, which is an insane idea.

UNICEF and other corrupt aid functions of the UN have nothing to do with this.

They got this thing called the Security Council.

They had their usual debate meeting yesterday and did nothing in the face of blind aggression------again.

I quests China shouldn’t be upset then, but they are.

You brought up UN, not me

This has nothing to do with helping GOP and everything to do with Biden being a total failure. The irony is how he enriched his own family off of the regime he has since abandoned.

As for now? No I don’t want this incompetent administration spending any American lives, they aren’t bright enough to make it matter.

I didn't know Biden was invading Ukraine.  So strange.

China being "upset" is a non event.

We have been operating in the South China Sea forever.

Regarding the UN, I brought it up to point out another example of it's historical uselessness in fulfilling its primary goal.

You are the one who threw the red herring UNICEF into it. Humanitarian offices have nothing to do with this.

The Security Council does.

Again, what do you propose that the US and/or NATO do, militarily, to solve this?

So Biden is doing his job in regards to China there then and not backing down as claimed

UN primary goal is to stop a brutal dictator from attacking his neighbor? Not sure about that. Maybe it plays a role, but to say it’s a failure because aggression still happens is like blaming a doctor when people get sick
