Democracy’s Fiery Ordeal: The War in Ukraine 🇺🇦

Russia is still making some progress on the Donbass.  Theyll probably end up flattening out the salient a bit thanks to the Popasna break in.  Their progress is slowing, but Ukraine is on the back foot a bit. Theyll lose ground, but nothing catastrophic.

Ukraine has launched a very large, very well equipped offensive in Kherson Oblast.  Its being spearheaded by a Tank brigade equipped with Polish T72s and Dutch APCs. Apparently they're already through Russia's first lines of defense, and heading for the dam that bridges the Dnieper river AND controls water supply to Crimea.

It’s a freakn cult - Zelenskyy shuts down Newsmax who tried to get him to say there would be no war if Trump were president.

Unreal. Hate to even think how all this would go down if Putin's boy was still prez.

We already know. Trump was President for four years…not four months…not four weeks….not four days. Like most things in life, it’s not complicated.

The counter-attack in Kherson stalled out. Ukraine made some initial gains, but they cant match or neutralize Russian artillery. Very nasty video floating around of Ukrainian infantry that tried to attack without the protection of IFVs/APCs and were hit with rocket barrages.

There was some talk (on twitter) that Putin might unilaterally call a cease fire after gobbling up the most of east, creating a land bridge down to Crimea. Hard to see Ukraine ever taking that back. It might be a Northern Ireland/ Israel- Palestine situation going forward, and Putin won't care at all if its a forever war. Who knows if Ukraine can mount an insurgency war there or Russia consolidates its hold and then moves on Odessa.

This latest round of energy sanctions along with higher food prices will be a game of chicken going forward. Inflation frustrations could sweep pro-Ukraine leaders out of office and Putin could seek to negotiate his way to victory.

You'd hate to think what no war in Ukraine would look like under Trump, because Putin wouldn't have the balls to invade?  That's an odd stance considering all the crying you've been doing over the war that Putin started because Joey is a joke.

What makes you think there wouldn't have been a war?

Joey has helped destroy large parts of the cream of Putin's army. Nice. Trump called the invasion "genius." Biden has done a good job so far.

You're right - Trump would have handed over Ukraine to Putin just like Conald did with Syria and Afghanistan to the Taliban.

Idiots
