Wait wut??   Did the science change?  Should this report get a "content warning??"

So long, Omicron: White House eyes next phase of pandemic

Biden and his top health officials have already begun hinting at an impending “new normal."

Emboldened by falling case counts, the Biden administration is plotting a new phase of the pandemic response aimed at containing the coronavirus and conditioning Americans to live with it.

The preparations are designed to capitalize on a break in the monthslong Covid-19 surge, with officials anticipating a spring lull that could boost the nation’s mood and lift President Joe Biden’s approval ratings at a critical moment for his party.

Biden and his top health officials have already begun hinting at an impending “new normal,” in a conscious messaging shift meant to get people comfortable with a scenario where the virus remains widespread yet at more manageable levels.

THIS MIGHT BE THE GREATEST BIT OF EDITORIALIZING IN HISTORY:

But it’s a delicate operation. The White House is wary of declaring victory too early, only to get hit with another catastrophic variant, a half-dozen administration officials and others close to the Covid response said.

Officials are also anxious that voters will be disappointed by the idea of living with an endemic virus under a president who once pledged to shut it down completely.

Omg.

"Declaring victory?"

"Catastrophic variant?"

"Voters will be disappointed living with an endemic virus??"

Wow

But we swear everything we've been doing is about public health and safety.....

WHO Europe head says continent is seeing ‘plausible endgame’ to pandemic, while U.S. numbers remain high due to large number of unvaccinated

The head of the World Health Organization in Europe said Thursday that continent is entering a “plausible endgame” to the pandemic as the number of coronavirus deaths is starting to plateau.

Dr. Hans Kluge made the comment at a press briefing where he also said Europe has a “singular opportunity” to take control of transmission thanks to high levels of immunization via vaccination and natural infection, the virus’s tendency to spread less in warmer weather, and the lower severity of the omicron variant, as the Associated Press reported.

Lolololol

This is code for "It's the flu, but we're never letting this go, because yes, our goal is zero covid.....which we know is impossible but gives us time to implement a digital surveillance bio medical police state which will then allow us to finally create a more perfect utopia, where you will own nothing and be happy."

Virginia Governor Joins Parents’ Lawsuit Against Loudoun Schools Over Masks

School that said it couldn't punish rapist suspends student for 10 days for not wearing masks

Virginia’s governor, attorney general, and superintendent of public instruction have asked a court to let them become plaintiffs in a lawsuit brought by parents against the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), lending new legal firepower to a group of parents’ quest to unmask their children.

After taking office last month, Gov. Glenn Youngkin issued an executive order saying that parents had the right to choose whether their children must wear masks at school or not. Liberal jurisdictions refused to follow it, claiming they did not have to follow executive orders.

The lawsuit includes an appendix with seven executive orders from previous Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam, including one that made masks mandatory in schools. No school district defied those orders, and far from claiming at the time that executive orders were optional for school systems, school officials routinely invoked them as a reason that their hands were tied.

Attorney General Jason Miyares said in a statement that “When the pandemic started, Governor Northam used his emergency powers to close down places of worship, private businesses, and schools and impose a universal mask mandate. Nearly two years later, Governor Youngkin is using those same emergency powers to adapt to our current phase in the same pandemic, by giving parents the ability to opt out of a school mask mandate.”

Bravo!  Many of the governor's at the recent National Governor's Association meetings felt the same way and have let the Biden Administration know this.

Please tell that to the Mayor of LA, who when asked today why he was unmasked at the NFC Championship responded to the press by saying he 'purposely held his breath' every time he took it off for a photo!🤣

They are going to keep masking people, and we need to wake up to that.

Secession is the only solution.

I don't want to have anything to do with these people now or beyond.

It's irreparable.  Cultural breaking point.  They don't have anything in common with real Americans.

"A Democrat."

Now why is that necessary?

"School districts — already at the center of polarizing mask battles that have shut down board meetings, provoked protests and led to round after round of legal challenges — will be free to continue to require mask wearing or to restore the rules if the virus spikes again. Districts are sure to face pressure, whether they choose to follow the governor’s lead and get rid of mask rules or keep them in place."
