the line far too often allows complete jail breaks.

You are speaking just the Miami game right now who isn’t exactly stellar on defense despite the talent they have on paper.

Allen is pressured on 25.3% of his passing attempts. That is 9th worst in league. Allen is hurried 6th most in the league. Allen has the 5th most hits in the league.  Allen has the the 7th least pocket time at 2.4 seconds.  All this while  being blitzed is 23rd lowest in the league.

this isn’t updated for Miami yet which was abysmal in the first half.

does this sound like good o line play to you now?

Allen simply makes the line look better than it is. The o line is terrible. Facts.

Where are these stats coming from?

How do they define "pocket time"?

But even taking your stats at face value, you started out contending "we have one of the worst OLs in the league"

Another way to frame "9th worst in the league" for pressure on pass attempts is 23rd in the league - middle third.   Mediocre.

I don't disagree that Allen makes the OL look far better than it is at times with his escapability, but he also passes up quick passes to open receivers many QB would take and some would say Allen should take, in favor of holding the ball and going for the deep shot.  This tendency makes the OL look worse.  Allen takes hits because he fights to get something on every play vs. throwing the ball away or taking the checkdown.  That means he's getting hit at a higher rate.

Stats mean something, but they don't necessarily mean what you might initially think they mean.

Pro football reference advanced passing stats.

Pocket Time: Number of seconds the quarterback was in the pocket between the snap of the ball and a pass or the collapse of the pocket

Allen’s o line is bottom 10 to bottom 5 in pass protection. This is not debatable. I know what your eyes think they see but the stats and rankings don’t support it.
