Agred. I am all but certain his main (if not only) concerns are:

1) Not going to jail.

2) Getting sued.

3) Will his career be effected?

That said, have you seen his tweets about police officers taking innocent lives? These comments, calling numerous people "fa^^*ts," his evil tirade against his daughter, and of course HIS shooting will combine to follow him forever, although he probably won't care because he is an evil scumbag.

Getting sued and saving his career, probably. I doubt jail is a real possibility.

It’s really quite ironic that a guy who publicly disparages the actions of officers in serious jeopardy, and who tends to resort to fisticuffs in disputes, is responsible ultimately for recklessly discharging a weapon in what amounts to a glorified high school production of Oklahoma.

Exiled Dude, they literally go through life pretending to be something different (oddly, they pretend to be cops and awful

lot, though some don’t seem to like the real ones).  Is it so much to pretend to be someone who knows about gun safety?

I’m going to take a flier on your ‘Police set up AB’ theory.   It may ultimately have legs, though I always wonder why they wouldn’t just shoot AB if they really wanted to f with him.

I had typed something else but it occurred to me that every time Hollywood just about convinces me that guns are THE problem, they change it up and tell me it’s actually union flunky we have to worry about.

I just figured if some others will have their conspiracy theories... I might as well throw one out from the Hollywood Coastal Elite side of the fence.

But honestly... He pisses off the what was the most powerful guy in world and his podunk followers... Those guys know the differences between bullets.  It would be pretty ez-pz to set up a Hollywood dweeb:

"HERE!  Go shoot that scene... USE this!"

"Okay... If it's okay with the filmmakers union, it's okay with ME!... Wait,  this is a non-Union Hulu movie?"

Won't the Union protect him?

Hollywood has some of the historically strongest unions around.

Art and life can get pretty confusing.  Now mix in the goal of "Zero-Fail" safety...

...I mean, I can see the need for hot weapons when filming.  I can also see the need for a cold weapon.

"Perfect safety is for people who don't have the balls to film/live in the real world."

How many times does this happen 🤔?  Every 20 years?  Did they save the footage.   It will look real.

Wouldn’t and shouldn’t the armourer be responsible for handing it over? Surely they’re in charge of weapons on set at ALL times?

When I firearm is handed over in a scenario such as this it should be checked twice.  Once by the person handing it and the other accepting it.

Do you know what a blank looks like?

Is it painted like safety yellow or red or something.

If I am an actor, or heck... My boss tells me to go do something... I do it, no questions asked.

Yeah... Right,  I am gonna check the weapon... They have paid help for that in safety department.

Are you kidding me.  You gotta be joking soldier.

Of all the shoot'em up movies that have been made, how many of those actors/actresses do you think are trained in true firearm safety? Probably not that many... they just take their pre-approved prop gun, rocket launcher, machine gun... and go act the part. I'm surprised no one actually got killed at the tollbooth scene in The Godfather lol.

Ok kids listen up.  We will be using weapons in the filming of this (movie, TV show, whatever).  Here are the protocols.  All weapons will be checked twice when being handed out.  Once by the person handing the weapon over for the scene and the actor being handed that gun for that particular scene.  Then when you are done with the weapon check to make sure it is not loaded before handing it back to props and then props confirms that it is not live.  Clear?  Clear??  CLEAR???

No I'm not joking.  Follow that protocol above and this thread doesn't exist.

Simple.  Look at how many handle their weapon, not pointing it at a target, and have their finger on the trigger.  That's the first thing they ***** teach you.  And a good range master will drill that into you.  Our range master said we yell because we care.

Too complicated.   I stopped reading after you said: "You've won bupkis."

You're mistake, should've kept me hanging on and posted that last.😜

Same protocol.  Supposedly safe weapon.  Never assume our someone may get shot.  Gee, where have i heard this before?

All actors aren't weapon specialists... they act.

Ok couple things.   Here's a story. I was a Chef in a restaurant and there was food in the window getting ruined under the heat lamps.  It was John's table

Me:  Hey John, you're a actor right?

John:  Yes, yes I am!

Me:  Good then act like a ***** waiter and get this food out of may kitchen!!

Moral of the story.  You handle weapons, regardless who you are, you follow protocol  "You're an actor, act like a weapons specialist.  Here is an article that does a good job talking about the protocol.

I mean for actors in general I will say that they have to portray things that aren't safe/smart. But that's why there's a bunch of other things that the crew is supposed to to do to ensure safety so an accident doesn't occur. Now I don't know if he was reckless in his role as an actor but since he's also a producer he's got plenty of responsibility for the stupidity on that set.
