Looks like Eichel and Coaching were the problem. Leadership and teamwork are more important to a team than star power. Eichel was a cancer that needed to be cut out. That much is now clearer than ever. It's early, and there is a lot of season left, but it seemed like the boys played like a team for the first time in a long time last night. Agreed on the bold. Its just one game and I'm not going to get too optimistic but the one word I'd use to describe the Sabres last night is EFFORT!. And for me that's all I ask at this point in the rebuild cycle. Maybe moving certain players changed the atmosphere or the team culture, we'll see.
