It's rare, and it's unique to Buffalo. I travel quite a bit (or used to before the pandemic), and airports were always like that. Seeing someone wearing a Bills hat or T was like seeing family, and I'd always fall into a conversation right away with whoever it was, like we'd known each other for years.
