The Bills held a workout with offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch on Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transactions wire.

The 26-year-old was a fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers in 2016 and played four years with the team. Benenoch has also spent time with the Patriots, Panthers, Cowboys and Lions mostly via practice squads and training camp appearances.

I'm pretty sure we bring in all these former Panthers so McDermott can just smell their Carolina hair or something.

To your point... I'm not sure why they didn't just schedule a joint practice with the Panthers so Beane and McDermott could check out all the guys they'll be kicking the tires on (or signing) next season.

Wow another Panther...

News: Bills sign former Tampa Bay draft pick who played 4 years with that team, then traveled to 4 different teams around the league

TBD: “Look, we signed another Panther”

Some of you are almost at the point where if the Panthers scouted a guy in college you’ll be  “Look, we signed another Panther!”

Probably the surest sign yet that the remade defensive line is working well.

I think @John Wawrow was the first to recognize it.

I agree that the DL looks like a big step-up so far, but I’m not sure what bringing in another camp body has to do as a sign of it.

-Dawkins and Boettger on Covid list, brought in 2 more OL

-Feliciano injures shoulder, brought in 1 more OL

Kind of looks to me like maintaining enough OL to run 3 OL rotations in camp - and of course, if a guy comes in and plays well we keep him.

I hadn’t heard about Lamp and Harrell, what’s up with them?  We only just signed Harrell....

I really don't care where they play.

You are right. I forgot about Feliciano's shoulder / Harrel's foot injury and also have no clue what is wrong with Lamp either.

Another ex- Panther yes- but he spent all of 20 days on the Panthers roster on October 2019 - a full 2 years after Beane / McD left. It is possible they had scouted him earlier and played against him in the NFC South while they were with the panthers organization though.
