I feel like there may be some sort of futuristic technology that could help with this issue. I'm betting every one of those reporters has a cell phone with a microphone, and likely a headset or earbuds with a microphone, and if anyone doesn't the Bills could easily supply a "loaner phone" or two to ensure equitable access. Very high probability there is software which would enable different reporters to be called upon and switched "on" using their cell phone headsets or intrinsic microphones - it's basically the audio part of the "Zoom" family of technologies. Everyone in the presser logs into the call, then is called upon in turn and activated. There's also older technology. Now, whether the press pool here opposes that because they don't want to depend upon a team representative to "call on" them, or whether the same media team that comes up with slick content like the "Queen City Gambit", the "Process Juice" skateboard, the Nick Wright/Ravens Film mashup, or even the recent Beane Birthday segue can't manage to figure this out, I can't tell you.
