Baker has real talent and played great last year in his new system, but I think his ceiling is limited by his hubris. I think we've seen Mayfields' best ball already. I don't think that's the case with Josh Allen.

 

That was also 2 years ago, so not sure it's fair to assume he hasn't grown or matured in any way since then.

 

They both have high ceilings, but I think Josh is in a better position to improve at the moment. This will actually be Mayfield's first season with any continuity carrying over from the previous year, so I'd expect him to look improved as well. But honestly, I just care how Josh is doing. I was just pointing out that I don't think that quote is too meaningful in the grand scheme of Mayfield's development at this point in time.

I don’t know there’s people on this board that think that if there are more then 6 people in the stands even at home he will magically turn into Ryan Leaf on steroids
