I voted Roberts. People slept on him. While he made an occasional frustrating decision to bring it out on kick off, that same aggression set us up with great field position on punt returns. Personally, I hope Stevenson is up to the task as a rookie. I like his potential as a receiver long term, but he’ll have to earn his keep as a returner more than likely to stick on this roster.

How is Lee Smith not on this list?

That's despicable.

Also anyone that votes Bojo automatically gets banned I've been told.

He went in the “Other” category because he was often inactive. Though I’m sure Knox is missing his buddy big time.

I went with Nsekhe because if there's an injury early in the season to one of our tackles, Brown probably won't be ready to step in. I liked Roberts but I thought pretty highly of our ST blocking unit and I think as long as our new returner/returners don't have fumblitis we should be good to go back there.

Never fear we have Bobby Hart 😳

That song came on the radio yesterday and that was the first thing I thought of was him swinging the parka

I voted for other which translates to (none of them).  All this buzz about Roberts....yes he was a good returner but her was just north and south kind of guy who tried to plow over guys with no juke moves what so ever. I think McKenzie will be a big upgrade at punt return specialist (he has juke moves and speed that will make guys miss exhibit A go see week 17 last year against Miami dude is 1 for 1 last year on punt returns with 1 TD). I think the KR duties will be a wash.

Simply not true. What roberts lacked in top end speed he made up for with elite vision and feel. One cut and go type of returner I’ll give you that. But it was almost always the right cut. Guy was an asset. Hands down…. He definitely wasn’t just running head first into defenders.

Losing Roberts has to be the biggest risk. All others were replaced adequately.

Maybe Stevenson can make a splash. But rookie returners are usually good for 3-4 muffs during the season.

C'mon, Virg! Have you even given Mitch's boogie a chance??

I didn't say he wasn't an asset I just said he wont be missed. We saw all he could do and he was never going to break one like McKenzie did. To me the dude was consistent yes but we saw all he could do. I think there is a lot more upside with McKenzie who can make a big play on ST when we need one.

Very much a McKelvin boom or bust feeling for me. I actually like the consistency of Roberts, but a TD here of there will be nice.

I voted Andre Roberts. I've been rewatching the games from 2020. That dude was a consistent difference maker on special teams. I'm really interested to see who takes his place.

Obviously, it's not rocket science. A lot of guys can return. But it was nice not having to really worry about the returner making a boneheaded decision. Roberts almost always made the right decision, and he rarely muffed it or turned the ball over.
