66% of blacks and 61% of hispanics are Tucker Carlson or Marjorie Taylor Greene junkies.  Who knew?

Trump voters watch Fox News?

Who knew?

The same 5 million people a night that watch Tucker are why 70 million Americans aren't vaccinated?

Stunning reach for Tucker.

Shouldn't the blame be on the current Unification President and his Veep that said they would never get the Vaccine on Trumps watch?

That's just me.

Attitude reflect leadership.

Have you seen any statistics on how many people have "natural" immunity from antibodies produced from previous infection and recovery? They should be added into the vaccinated totals.  The goal should be immunity and vaccination is one method to acquire immunity.  But so its getting sick and recovering.  Its unclear why the CDC and other agencies refuse to count them.

Thank you.  Did you notice that a lot of states in the bottom 1/2 also have high black and hispanic populations like Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, South Carolina,Tennessee, and Oklahoma?

18-24 year old numbers are also low.

I'm not trying to pick on these groups.  But it is what it is.

Why do you only criticize Rs for it?  Vaccine hesitancy is all over the map.  It doesn't have to be made political by you and Kellyanne Conan's husband.

Because of polls like these.

Rates of Opposition Have Ticked Down Among Black and Hispanic Adults, Remained Unchanged Among Republicans: Since Morning Consult began tracking in mid-March, the share of adults who say they do not plan on getting vaccinated has dropped by 2 percentage points (21 percent to 19 percent). Across major demographic groups, the largest downward shifts in vaccine opposition can be seen among Black Americans (27 percent to 23 percent) and Hispanic Americans (23 percent to 17 percent). Among Republicans, the largest major source of vaccine opposition, 28 percent do not plan on getting vaccinated, unchanged since tracking began. View more.

Republican women are a major source of vaccine skepticism: 45 percent of GOP women do not plan to get vaccinated or are uncertain – 15 points higher than all adults, 10 points higher than GOP men and 30 points higher than Democratic women.

In no way will I assume the concern is pregnancy or pending pregnancies.  The situation we don't have long term data on.

Nope.

Not going to use logic or ask questions.

Hey bonus question:

What happened to when we reached less 5% positivity rate in the community the virus is contained?  Lololol

We just forgot that metric that was also a lie?

"Experts have recommended that governments reach a maximum 10 percent positive test rate (the percentage of positive cases out of the total number of tests) over seven days to know if they’re testing enough. As of May 12, WHO updated its guidance to advise hitting a 5 percent positive test rate over 14 days before reopening."

Thanks for the response and polling data.  Interesting.

But I wasn't using polling data. I was talking about numbers on the ground.

40% of Americans identify as Republicans.  https://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-number-of-americans-identifying-as-republican-is-the-lowest-its-been-in-a-decade-gallup-poll-11617812129. 32% of Americans are black or hispanic. https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/US/PST045219 I don't have any hard statistics on % of republicans getting vaccinated.

Although no one can say for sure, the size of the groups can't be that different.  35% of blacks/Hispanics get it.  That would mean for the Republican unvaccinated to be higher would require the R rate to be about 25%. Does that sound right to you?  Do the math.

Hmmmm. I would say the current administration is failing miserably at rolling out the vaccines.  They need to work on their leadership and motivational skills. It’s not like it’s a sugar pill or anything. It’s a vaccine that will save you from imminent DEATH. How hard can it be to motivate people?

No.  That poll showed 25% identify as Republican, 30% as Democrat, and the rest as Independents.  You cited which way the voters "leaned."

As far as vaccination rates go here's an end of June poll I posted in another thread showing as the % of Republicans (and other groups) getting at least one shot of the vaccination.

But they do tell people what to do with their body. The government has a list of drugs that people can’t legally put into their body, certain vaccines are required for school etc. I’m not attempting a “pro vaccine argument”, I just don’t understand this take. The only freedom you have is the freedom the government is willing to grant you, people need to face that truth. I know a lot of people opposed the lockdowns, but I didn’t see anyone do much to prevent them. If the vaccines were required tomorrow, almost everyone would just get it. I’m not arguing for a side. I’ve just had a tough time since the beginning with people acting like they’d have some power to change mandates for employment or entrance to events. 99.9% of people do things when they’re required, all the talk is just that.

I've already explained this 100 times.  It's a state right issue not federal

46 out of 50 states have exemptions to vaccines and public schools.. a firm majority .. for religious exemptions, and personal exemption

Even in a state like New York where you need it to go to public school.. there are children who don't get them and go to private school or homeschool

No job application ever asks if you have got your MMR vaccines or the like

Fact is there's never been compulsory vaccination in this country under threat if you don't.. lot of ways around it

I'm not an anti-vaccine person either I'm just stating facts

That’s all true, but I never said vaccines will be mandated for all. I’m just pointing out the fact that businesses and employers mandating a vaccine would likely hold up in court. If people don’t want to get the vaccine, I’m not going to engage in a pointless argument with them. I just don’t understand how people can make statements claiming their job or favorite concert venue can’t mandate it. As far as the bolded text, health care workers in NYS actually are asked if they received an MMR vaccine. There won’t be an across the board mandate, but it can be mandated for access to employment and entertainment.

Yea cus NYS is borderline socialist lol

Doctor's ask if you have firearms

I would've left years ago if it wasn't for family...

I would never use New York as an example of American virtues.. they disregard the Constitution every chance they get

And until this vaccine is CDC approved I'd be willing to wager that most lawsuits would rule in favor of personal freedom...

New York State can make nurses get the flu vaccine because it's CDC approved.. the coronavirus vaccine is emergency authorized use

So that's why one can be mandatory at a job, but until it's approved..

I'd be willing to bet that lawsuits will side on the people side

We will see

Anyone calling for mandated vaccines is just silly...clearly,  you are the target audience of the authoritarian establishment...congrats on your blind obedience...😉

Nah, I just don’t want to see it mutate into something that evades vaccine immunity due to an unnecessary high number of unvaccinated, resulting in unnecessary severe illness of my loved ones. Kind of like how I’m such an authoritarian that I don’t want drunk drivers on the road.

I mostly agree with this. I think once the CDC approval comes though, people are going to be surprised by how many places mandate this.

What's your basis for believing a corporate mandate would hold up in court?  And wouldn't a mandate generate the circumstances where the employer is assuming some liability for any adverse outcomes if they make it some condition of employment?  I wonder as I work for a fairly large health care sector company and while they are encouraging employees to get vaccinated they have declined to mandate vaccination.  So if experts are deferring this requirement how can the uninformed and potentially clueless make the decision to require it?

I've never had one company in my entire life asking for my vaccine status

I'd be much more worried about somebody who doesn't have the hepatitis vaccine than the coronavirus.. nobody's asking about hepatitis
