NFL.com Disrespects Bills Offense

They put Singletary as the 31st running back???

”The Bills have had a real problem with their run game and they need a reliable player at the position. Devin Singletary and Zack Moss have each had their moments but neither player has shown any consistency. Right now, Josh Allen is the best rusher on the team. That really bothers me as a former running back. The Bills' backfield really needs to step it up, and Singletary has the most experience. The time is now.”

The disrespect is getting unruly. It seems that every national media outlet continuously finds a way to take a dump on Buffalo. No one ever acknowledges us as the biggest competitor to the Chiefs.

It’s clear that Singletary is a top 5 RB with Moss not far behind. Smh as always it’s Buffalo vs Everybody.

My god, we need to start rioting in the streets!  This is outrageous.  We all need to stop attending games until the media takes us serious, boycott the stadium.  Lets show them we mean business!

That's not disrespect. That's the truth.

The running game outside of Allen has been bad for a few years.

They do have a big run every now and then but haven't shown much improvement overall.

Our RB was pretty good in 2019.  Singletary looked good....he was at 5.1 ypc.

With that paragraph, I think it's going to be TSW vs. you.

They are not wrong. Allen was the most effective runner and that's a problem when he is your QB. With the exception of Allen the Bills running game sucked.

They were 20th out of 32 teams. Sucked is kinda strong, but it's your opinion and certainly justified as they were definitely underwhelming. They did have better numbers than 4 other playoff teams including the SB champs. Scheme and play design is as much of a factor as personnel.

I see your point. Maybe that is to strong of a word but the 20th ranking was mostly because of Allen. Maybe underwhelming is a better word.

Very true. But the Ravens were #1 because of Jackson. I get it though, when your QB is your biggest rushing threat there's a problem.

On Offense:  We have a stud QB, stud #1 WR, a top end Slot WR and a good #2 WR and #3 WR, with an above average pass blocking OL.

Everything else is fair game.

Run blocking could absolutely improve.  So can the RB’s and our TE play, but they’re all valid questions/criticisms until we start playing and getting answers.

Obviously the Bills offense runs thru Allen and the passing game. The biggest concern with the run game is can it be effective when we need it. For example 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 and we need to convert for a first down. So many times they failed in short yardage situations in recent years. Also what happens when its getting late in the 4th Q and the Bills have the lead and the ball. You are going to want to run it to control the clock. I expect the Bills will be leading in most of their games in the 4th Q this season. Having an effective run game would really help here.

devils advocate with the Bills O based on collection of off-season analysis:

1.Given that Josh had dramatic improvement last season the critics are saying no way he can better..

2. pundits say more likely levels off, due to defenses sticking more attention to Diggs, better defensive film review, rosters and play esp in division, road crowd noise will have some impact compared to last season empty stadiums ?

3. Our O has emphasis on the pass, so OL not built to run the ball - Morse is more mobile and finese, not physical enough to push and run-block bigger DTs effectively, and our guards and RBs are mediocre.

4. Bills to address the details of too many negative run plays and add more diverse and shorter routes (slants) which could use more support from the TE position which is still a question as far as quality and depth...can the Bills work the middle of the field more than last season ?
