The quote below is the statement you said. I new you were so far wrong that I created a poll. PROVES you are wrong that most people do not think he will regress. IF you had said some think he will aggress then I understand. Now you call us sensitive cause your proven wrong and you continue to act like gods gift that it is FACTUAL that he regresses. I care what you expect that's on you and you have every right to your opinion.

But

Don't act like its factual "like it or not"  your way or the high way attitude around here and then draw us into it like you thought everyone else agrees with you.. then you call us sensitive... Sorry we love Josh.. Sorry we think he will improve.  Your word isnt the final word. stop acting it.

The word regress scares people. People don't like those words.

Even if his stats aren't as good as last year it doesn't imply regression

We might have a better running game.. be killing clock in the fourth quarter.. defense might give us more turnovers and we might be on shorter fields

Stats is far from the only thing that implies whether quarterbacks are progressing or regressing

The Chances  that Josh actually regresses as a pure quarterback, are slim.. he should take another step mentally which will undoubtedly help

Those that don't really know what they're talking about then. Go find me all the QB's with back to back 40+ TD seasons.

Another thing is you should expect the Bills offense to regress some also.

You said regress…….having lesser stats doesn’t necessarily mean regression.

Those that think lesser stats = regression 💯 of the time don’t know what they’re talking about

Here is PFF on the front office.  Just read it and enjoy.....

No general manager has done a better job of getting ahead of negotiating new contracts for top players quite like the Bills’ Brandon Beane, and the benefits of his diligent work will only be realized over the next few years. The Bills boast a roster that ranks third in our valuation of the veterans, and many of the top players are signed to multi-year deals already.

Nevertheless, after sending a first-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings for wide receiver Stefon Diggs, a massive extension for him and quarterback Josh Allen loom in the not-so-distant future.

So 11-50 are

11. EDGE T.J. WATT, PITTSBURGH STEELERS

12. RB DERRICK HENRY, TENNESSEE TITANS

13. G ZACK MARTIN, DALLAS COWBOYS

14. CB JAIRE ALEXANDER, GREEN BAY PACKERS

15. T DAVID BAKHTIARI, GREEN BAY PACKERS

16. CB JALEN RAMSEY, LOS ANGELES RAMS

17. WR DEANDRE HOPKINS, ARIZONA CARDINALS

18. WR TYREEK HILL, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

19. DI CHRIS JONES, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

20. LB FRED WARNER, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

21. EDGE JOEY BOSA, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

22. QB RUSSELL WILSON, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

23. S JUSTIN SIMMONS, DENVER BRONCOS

24. T TRENT WILLIAMS, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

25. EDGE MYLES GARRETT, CLEVELAND BROWNS

26. RB DALVIN COOK, MINNESOTA VIKINGS

27. EDGE NICK BOSA, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

28. T RYAN RAMCZYK, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

29. CB MARLON HUMPHREY, BALTIMORE RAVENS

30. RB CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY, CAROLINA PANTHERS

31. DI CAMERON HEYWARD, PITTSBURGH STEELERS

32. S HARRISON SMITH, MINNESOTA VIKINGS

33. LB ERIC KENDRICKS, MINNESOTA VIKINGS

34. WR ALLEN ROBINSON II, CHICAGO BEARS

35. WR JULIO JONES, TENNESSEE TITANS

36. CB BRYCE CALLAHAN, DENVER BRONCOS

37. RB NICK CHUBB, CLEVELAND BROWNS

38. WR A.J. BROWN, TENNESSEE TITANS

39. RB ALVIN KAMARA, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

40. QB JOSH ALLEN, BUFFALO BILLS

41. S JOHN JOHNSON III, CLEVELAND BROWNS

42. DI GRADY JARRETT, ATLANTA FALCONS

43. T TERRON ARMSTEAD, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

44. WR MICHAEL THOMAS, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

45. WR STEFON DIGGS, BUFFALO BILLS

46. T RONNIE STANLEY, BALTIMORE RAVENS

47. CB JAMES BRADBERRY, NEW YORK GIANTS

48. S MARCUS WILLIAMS, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

49. LB LAVONTE DAVID, TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

50. QB DAK PRESCOTT, DALLAS COWBOYS

I am guessing their top 10 would be (in some order)

3 QBs - Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers

2 Dlinemen - Donald, Mack

1 OG - Quenton Nelson (PFF's lovefest for Nelson is well known)

1 LB - Bobby Wagner (ditto)

2 TEs - Kelce, Kittle

1 WR - Adams

Besides the obvious Allen, Diggs, Tre White snubs, I think Garrett and the Bosas shd be higher and Saquan Barkley, Devin White and Shaquil Barrett  belong in that list. Heyward, Robinson, Ramsey, Smith and Johnson are a bit overrated by PFF. Also, pretty boy Brady is being ranked as a top 10 player based on past achievements - that SB  was all because of their defense, which carried them.

Most people here expect a regression. Not a huge one. They still have him top 7 for QB's.

Regress is probably the wrong word to use.

Yes, it’s definitely the wrong word to use.  But you used it and applied it to “most people here”.

It's a good idea to ignore articles written in the offseason.

More specifically, it’s good to ignore pff, during all seasons…,

Justin Simmons, a Safety for the Denver Broncos is the 23rd best player in the NFL?  I'm guessing half of NFL Fans have no idea who he is, what he looks like, and who he plays for.

Two Denver DBs in the top 50 NFL players.  Jake Kumerow begs to differ.

I still believe most people expect a drop? Is drop sufficient?

Callahan didn’t play vs the Bills

A drop in what?  Stats?  A drop in success? More dropped passes?

i truley believe that he will be a better QB in 2021.  He may have more ints…..he might not have as many TDs….. or yards……but he’ll be a better QB.  It’s really the only thing I care to discuss. Whether or not his has more or less stats is completely irrelevant to me

It's always been about stats.

Regarding this thread that we’re discussing:   I don’t think pff has Bryce Callahan rated higher than allen based on his projected stats.

regarding this forum in general: maybe some here feel it’s all about stats.  I feel that stats are overrated and prefer to judge a player based on what I’m watching.  I had a 2 year long debate with 6 co workers who told me that Kyle Kuzma is just as good as Jayson Tatum after their respective rookie years and into throughout their 2nd season.   I told them, just watch them play.   They aren’t even in the same realm of ability.  I’m going to judge Josh Allen based on what I see.  You can judge him on stats.

Speaking of regression, it's been statistical regression.

PFF obviously expects more than a statistical regression.
