According to B/R, we are the second best team set up for the future

Deandre Hopkins turned 29 a few days ago. If Murray improves they will be a scary team for years to come.

I still don't buy it. Hop is 29, what does he have before he begins to slow... 1? 2 more top years? Their two edge rushers are 31 and 32 as are their two starting corners. Their oline is a bunch of older cut price vets on 3rd teams and an average left tackle. It is literally Murray, Budda Baker and if they pay off the two linebackers they have taken in the last two firsts - Collins and Simmons.

Biggest question to me has to be the 49ers. They just invested a ton of draft capital in Trey Lance and it'll probably be at least one season before he starts playing. Is he the next Josh Allen? Or will he be a bust?

Not surprisingly 6 of the 7 teams on this list have early 1st round QBs on rookie contracts. It'll remain to be seen how these teams do once they give their QB a mega contract. Will the Ravens even give Jackson a contract? If he can't improve his throwing game a huge contract would be an albatross

Murray is what he is - a 2020's version of Doug Flutie.  Fun to watch but limited, devoid of leadership skills, and highly unlikely to win anything of consequence in my opinion.

I agree that the 49ers do not deserve their hype. Jackson will get a contract but the Ravens better make sure Greg Roman has great medical care.

Especially if some of the 2019-2021 draft picks pan out this team has a bright future. Josh is a stud and there are a lot of good young players on the roster but it mostly comes down to cab the past 3 draft classes take the steps needed to take over for vets in the coming years.

#1 Goes to the Chiefs. We are #2, right behind us is the Ravens at #3 and the 49'ers at #4. interestingly the Dolphins are #7 but they point to the amount of draft capital moving forward as the reasoning, not so much Tua.

Here's our write up:

While the Buffalo Bills only have their own draft picks in 2022—aside from a conditional seventh-rounder from Atlanta—and are projected to be up against the cap next offseason, they're still set to be perennial contenders.

Quarterback Josh Allen had a breakout campaign in 2020, passing for 4,544 yards with 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also rushed for 421 yards and eight more scores. He's only 25 years old and may not have reached his ceiling.

A contract extension for Allen will be coming, but he has two years left on his rookie deal.

Aside from him, the Bills have one of the league's best, most-balanced rosters—one Pro Football Focus ranked fifth before the draft. Buffalo also ranked second in both yards gained and points scored last season, while ranking 14th in total defense.

With contributors like Tre'Davious White, Micah Hyde, Matt Milano and Stefon Diggs—the reigning league-leader in receptions and receiving yards—under contract through at least 2023, the Bills are poised to be a permanent fixture in the Super Bowl chase.

Buffalo also has a quality head coach in Sean McDermott, who has taken Buffalo to the playoffs in three of his four seasons.

Strange that I'm agreeing with Bleacher Report for once. I will give them credit for their ascension though. BR used to be a joke with a bunch of fan articles.

I really do feel the Bills broke the laws of math & physics with Josh Allen. Teams going for these athletic freak QBs from small schools are going to bust way more often than not. Trey Lance is a very interesting prospect. I hope they are patient with him and let him develop properly which NFL teams rarely do anymore.

Murray and Jackson aren't improving. I just don't see them as long term pocket qbs. And if Tua doesn't develop then the fins are right back to the drawing board.  This league will be run by the Chiefs,  Bills and Niners for years to come. And watch the Chargers as another long term contender.

The answer is yes.  He has won a LOT of football games in his career.  Jackson will get paid as long as he can run, and I think Harbaugh believes they can put enough around him to overcome the passing game limitations.

Not to be biased, but I cant think of a better setup. McD and Beane are both in their early 40s and just getting started. Reid is likely on the tail-end of his career. Not to mention our star QB is 25
