Critical Race Theory

No more pretending.

CRITICAL ETHNIC STUDIES COME TO OUR SCHOOLS

FTA:

So Critical Ethnic Studies is now required to graduate from the St. Paul public schools. Its precepts are no secret:

[Course concepts will include] identity, intersectionality, race, dominant/counter narratives, racism, white supremacy, racial equity, oppression, systemic oppression, resistance and resilience, social/youth-led movements, civic engagement, hope and healing, and transformation and change.

The ultimate purpose is to turn young people into racist, America-hating social justice activists. Important context for this effort is the fact that the St. Paul public schools are absolutely terrible. Catrin Wigfall explains:

According to 2021 Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) test results, 16.6 percent of 8th graders in the [St. Paul] district are proficient in math. Less than 32 percent are reading at grade level.

This class of students will be the first required to take CES in order to graduate.

So the teachers’ union intends to turn out graduates who are largely unemployable because they can’t read or do arithmetic, and who are primed to blame their failures on “systemic oppression.” It is a great formula for social unrest, which the union explicitly desires to promote. Indeed, St. Paul students will be taught that blacks can’t possibly succeed:

Remember when Democrats, Leftists, and the media were mocking parents for being concerned about Critical Race Theory?

They called it a racist dog whistle and insisted over and over and over again it was not being taught in schools. Oh sure, some teachers were being trained in it BUT there wasn’t a magical lesson plan called CRT and that was the only proof they needed to blast anyone voicing concerns about what they were seeing in public schools.

Once progressives figured out they couldn’t keep playing this dodge, they started promoting Social-Emotional Learning. Now, you think to yourself gosh, that makes sense, learning should be social and we want our kids to be emotionally healthy at school, but THEN you start reading what SEL actually represents, and gosh, golly, gee, there’s CRT again.

IT WAS LITERALLY DESIGNED FOR THAT SPECIFIC PURPOSE:

‘Critical Race Theory’ is incompatible with freedom of speech or equal treatment.

If treating people equally regardless of their race is the desired outcome in all of this, then Critical Race Theory as a framework for viewing and judging people is entirely moot for that objective

My dad used to say if don't have some degree of financial independence and your livelihood depends on the opinions and good graces of others you'll never have any real freedom.  So keeping with that theme, I suspect Musk doesn't give a rat's ass what the NYT's writes or thinks.

THAT’S BECAUSE IT WAS VERY DELIBERATELY DESIGNED TO BE:

‘Critical Race Theory’ is incompatible with freedom of speech or equal treatment.

Critical Race Theory was designed by people who didn’t like free speech or equal treatment because they saw them as barriers to a leftist remaking of society. It was never about racial justice. As they used to say in the SDS, the issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution.

Just now, Tiberius said:

Actually all people going nuts over this are, right?

Yes all people who are proponents of CRT are like him, they believe race is the critical element of life. It is why he was a self described leftist.

CRITICAL RACE THEORY WAS EXPLICITLY DESIGNED TO UNDERCUT EQUALITY AND FREE SPEECH:

Prof calls diversity of thought ‘white supremacist b******t.’

Completely biased article.

When you go to a racist convention, of course you're going to hear racist stuff.
