Huh, I thought it wasn't being taught.

Superintendent of Detroit schools says their curriculum is ‘deeply using critical race theory’

We’d like to dedicate this post to all of the people who scour the replies to any tweet alleging that critical race theory is being taught in schools and paste, “Critical race theory is only taught in law schools” in response to every reply. That’s one of the lies that people like Joy Reid run with, while at the same time advocating that CRT be taught in schools, even though, as MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace said after Greg Youngkin’s victory, CRT isn’t real.

To be technical, students aren’t taught critical race theory; rather, critical race theory influences the way they’re taught. And as Christopher Rufo shows, here’s the superintendent of Detroit Public Schools saying that the district was very intentional about embedding critical race theory into social studies, language arts, and other disciplines.

It's not even a debate. Both the left and right agree that whites face discrimination.

The difference is that the left doesn't think it counts... because they're white. 😆

What discrimination?

So like give us some examples. I mean race was critical to the Civil Rights Movement, you'd want to take racism out of teaching that?

No.

False squirrel.

NO ONE is against teaching of Racism, Slavery and Civil Rights.

READ what the superintendent said, instead of your routine diversion B.S.

Interesting in how you put the impact of racism in past tense. Freudian slip?

And just in case anyone thought that the scourge of CRT was exclusive to the USA - think again:

https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/controversial-critical-race-theory-still-being-taught-in-nsw-classrooms/news-story/42b07f2071857f32762c997b8b43324d

Controversial critical race theory still being taught in NSW classrooms

Critical race theory, which claims to teach against racism, is still being taught in NSW classrooms despite being outlawed by the Senate

The NSW Department of Education is continuing to list resources that promote the teaching of critical race theory in classrooms, despite the Australian Senate passing a resolution against the practice last June.

On Tuesday, it was reported an official department web page hosting a range of so-called “anti-racism” resources for teachers had disappeared as part of an upgrade.

However, The Daily Telegraph can reveal that despite concerns raised by state and federal education ministers the page has resurfaced and promotes organisations such as US-based Learning for Justice, whose homepage features an article advising teachers how to fight laws designed to stop the teaching of critical race theory.

A number of state legislatures in the US have passed laws to stop such racially divisive doctrines, which categorise people by skin colour and teach that everyone is either an oppressor or oppressed.

Learning for Justice also offers free lesson plans for teachers to promote so-called intersectional politics, which encourages people to see one another not as individuals but instead tells students “we all have multiple identity characteristics that make us who we are, and the intersection of these identities come together to create unique forms of privilege and oppression.”

Bella d’Abrera, director of the Foundations of Western Civilisation program at the Institute of Public Affairs, said these types of classroom resources went far beyond the scope of addressing racism.

“They are promoting radical ideologies such as identity politics and critical race theory which are dangerous and divisive, and which need to be kept out of Australia classrooms,” Dr d’Abrera said.

Other lessons come courtesy of the Australian Human Rights Commission, which teaches Australia is a structurally racist nation and that is to blame for Indigenous disadvantage.

The site also continues to feature the department’s own Racism No Way project, which has previously been criticised for promoting a “privilege for sale” game and telling students Australia is an inherently racist country.

“These materials do the opposite to what they purport to do. They are not anti-racist, but rather racist because they teach children that they should not look beyond their superficial differences,” Dr d’Abrera said.

“Children do not see colour but yet they are turned against each other by bureaucrats. This is unacceptable.”

The focus on so called anti-racism comes as NSW’s education performance continues to decline.

This year, the state’s year 9 students recorded their worst- ever NAPLAN reading performance, with one in 10 failing to meet basic national minimum standards.

An Education Department spokesman said: “The department has an anti-racism policy, which commits the department to the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination in NSW government schools.”

Do you honestly not think white people are being passed up for jobs/promotions because of how corporate America is being "asked" to be more diverse? As reddogblitz brought up.  Kamala was chosen as VP only because of the color of her skin (and her gender).  Could you imagine if Trump said "I'm choosing a white woman as my running mate"?

Yeah there's no discrimination against whites in this country.  🙄

No surprise that this democratic bastion and perennial "Worst City in America" would waste their time and resources on CRT.

Perhaps their education prowess could be focused on more pressing courses like; "5 easy ways to not commit violent crime", "Getting a job, it's easy and fun", or "Why you shouldn't leave Detroit even though everyone else is".

Have you ever heard anyone on the right saying they need a safe space or they feel threatened?  Only woke and leftists can be snowflakes.  When they use the term snowflakes in reference to their political and social opposition they are projecting their own fears and fragile emotional and mental states onto others.  So keep hiding in the basement but keep the lights on and don't be afraid of life.

Well, this is certainly how the Left are defining the issue to try to win the argument...But the Left’s definition of “racism” is different than the Right’s...
