Where Buffalo stands heading into 2021

After claiming the throne for the first time since 1995, the Bills have turned themselves into the class of the division. Not only are they looked at as a favorite to once again win the AFC East, but they are one of the favorites to come out of the conference and reach the Super Bowl. Allen's leap in 2020 also has him as a legit MVP candidate, so things are looking awfully bright in Buffalo, especially after an offseason where it retained a large chunk of its core.

I think things will be tighter this year.

I can't really argue with this. To me it all depends on Tua's progression. If he can become even average then the Fins will be the only AFC East threat. Personally, I don't see anything special.

Jets are rebuilding and the Pats I have no ****ing clue what their strategy is.

Def going to be tight this year. Miami will be the same or a bit better, and the Pats should be better too.

Jets seem a few years away still.

The Dolphins could be worse. Fitzpatrick won 5 of their 10 wins last year and he is gone.

Obviously he wasn't the only contributor to those wins, but the Dolphins coaching staff certainly didn't show any confidence in Tua last year.

I wasn’t impressed by Tua.  I’m a Fitz fan though.  Maybe the kid can pull it together but I just didn’t see it last year.  They got rid of Chan Gailey too....so new offense for Tua to learn as well.  Might be a tough start for the Dolphins.

Man, it's great to see "QB" as the top draft priority for the Pats.

Here's hoping that they're just beginning a fruitless 2-3 decade search for Brady's replacement.

I’m really intrigued by the Pats this year...just as a fan of football.  I have absolutely no idea how they will fare after the Free Agent spending spree blended with another year of Cam and no apparent bridge to replace him.  Maybe the draft will add more fidelity but man...who knows what will come out the other end here.

Pretty sure Chan Gailley left rather than being let go.  Head coach said all of the assistant coaches were expected staying and next day Chan resigns.

After that Miami Mammals purged offensive coaches associated with him.  if Flores was planning on canning him he would not have made that statement.

Possibly, but I very much doubt it. They have good coaching and are adding talent. I see 9 wins.

Miami will be worse than last year. I doubt luck will follow them like it did last year.

Too early to speculate.... Each season is very different from the last, and trying to extrapolate on last year's performance is an exercise in futility.  The Jets are no threat, I agree that Phinz will regress and we won't really know what NE is until November.  NE always evolves from July through Oct each year until their identity is forged for THAT year.  It looks like ball control, 12 personnel-smash mouth, tough D.  It would be really hard to be anything else with that roster.  I see them as the threat to us in the division.  The key variables are Newton, and as always...how injuries play out.

The jump from 2-14 to relevance takes some time.  The jets will have a rookie QB and added 1 WR to the worst offense in the league.  Defense stunk last year too.  So i doubt they move much.

I think NE will be more improved, and probably finish ahead of Miami in the division.  They added a lot of talent to a team last year that honestly probably performed better than their talent level suggests.  Miami will get a premium pick at the top of the draft, but their offense was pretty bad last year and their defense was really overrated.

I agree on NE.  I think between Kelce, NE's TEs, possibly pitts/geisicki, and then several of the TE's in the NFC - big nickel is an important position that buffalo needs to address.  It's something you're going to see a lot of next season, and its something they need to be able to more effectively stop.

I think Miami is going to crash. Paper tiger last year and their QB doesn't have the trust of his HC.

They have a good defense, except when they plays JA17

I think Miami will be much worse than last year. Paper tiger is right. Out of their ten wins, only one of the opposing teams finished the season with a winning record.

and sure, everyone lauds the coach. I like him, too. But in all honesty, how does a coach whose team layed the crapfest game they did in Week 17 while fighting for their playoff life not be questioned? If the Bald Beefcake in Jersey lives up to expectations,  Miami might find themselves as bottoms. (of the division)

2nd year 1st rounder who doesn't have his HC's confidence heading into his 2nd season?

It's been known to work out...

lol, some take.

NO ONE was predicting a winning season, let alone a double digit wins and a chance at the playoffs for this team last year.  They got there with Fitz and Tua as their QBs.

A team predicted as 4-8 wins, with no running game, no WR over 70 catches or 800 yards (only 1 WR with over 400!), plus FitzTua......is a "paper tiger"??  You may want to look up the meaning of that term.

And a "crapfest" would be the Chiefs performance with the SB on the line.
