The problem is it looks very racially motivated, which is a reality. Black on black crime is a huge problem. There is a lack of trust in the black communities when it comes to police. Republicans don’t want to listen to the lack of trust. They don’t want to punish poor policing when it happens. Dems try to stop gang and drug related gun violence, and do try and fail. Dems want to end all gun violence. This is the problem. When mass shootings happen Republicans say “what about Chicago?” When gang and drug related violence happens Dems say “what about race and bad policing?” No one ever does anything because the truth is they only care about what their constituents want to hear.
