What should define a "rookie" or "veteran" on TBD?

I've been on double secret probation for quite awhile so I have to be doubly careful.

I'm blaming that for my low post count.  It's the only explanation.

Not that we don't have our share, but I thumbed your post just for this.  Beating the pats twice is maybe the most satisfying thing that happened last year (to be clear, by far the most important thing from last year is that we found out we have a franchise QB).

I'm an excellent poster and contribute much to this board yet I have incurred many a wrath...💩

I apologize if this is not the correct spot to post this however I am curious what TBD participants think.

First off, I am huge fan of TBD and especially the Stadium Wall.   After years of visiting the site and reviewing commentary though, I am still at "rookie" status.  I know how it works and obviously I don't comment all that much unless I feel I really have something that truly adds to the conversation.   I guess I am a dinosaur in that respect and in the Twitter era.  While I don't comment that much, I was contacted by the Buffalo News to help them prepare for an interview with coach McD from one of my posts which I think is a feather in the cap of TBD and shows the reach of our forum discussions.

My point is, should total comments really be the bar for what your status is on TBD?  Doesn't member longevity, visits or anything like that mean anything?   After all we are Bills fans which is about loyalty.  If it were about how much we spout off wouldn't we be Pats fans? 😁

It is not that big a deal, just something that crossed my mind reading all the free agent takes from you guys.   Go Bills!

Bottomline: We are not getting the full benefit of your Bills-related wisdom. I think your self-defined criteria for post usefulness are too high. Please post more.

That’s funny, I keep getting requests for the opposite.      🤷‍♂️

I promise, quantity and quality are two TOTALLY different issues!

You know you can just personal message SDS.  He could’ve told you.  The mods are pretty good at responding.  BTW, Howard and Jeremy have commented on TBD multiple times, so those guys do check out from time to time these threads.  A few weeks ago, I noticed their morning poll questions, discussion topics were mirroring a day or two after threads came out.  Good luck with you’re interview.  I don’t know many people care as to their status.  I enjoy the conversations for the most part, but don’t look to how many posts people are recorded.  I do pay attention occasionally to the poster as I have a great deal of respect for some of the guys.

You’re still considered a rookie until you’ve started 16 threads.

Far too many knuckleheads try this route. Don’t! (P.S. I hate you.)

One post more than you = veteran.

Thank you, Beerball. The standard has now been set. With each  @buffalostu2 post entered, that’s the new rookie ceiling.

It's a pretty basic/standard forum mechanic where a bit of flavor text changes as you reach certain post milestones.

Bingo.

Sit down and stop starting new threads, rook.

Whats that old saying? Better to say nothing and be thought a fool........than to open your mouth and remove all doubt ;)

This is not directed at you but there are some long term people that need "training camp body" as their tag ;)

Some folks have been on this site long enough to have had kids who are now old enough to be Veterans on this site and start having their own kids. Now *that's* a Veteran.

This is why I post nonsense. It raises my status and it’s very important to me to know that I’m better than others here. My status is everything. With an elevated status I can manipulate others and force their loyalty through fear.

Ok, I made that up. Who checks their status on a regular basis? Lol.
