Biden and the crises er challenge on the border

Rotting fruit, spoiled vegetables: How Texas just made the supply chain even worse

A weeklong protest by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott against President Biden's recent immigration policy reached a resolution on Friday, but the gridlock it created has resulted in hundreds of millions of lost dollars and delays in shipments of everything from avocados to automobile parts that will have a longer-term impact.

Vegetable producers say their produce is spoiling in idling trucks and they are losing hundreds of millions of dollars.

What used to be a routine border crossing turned into a 30-hour wait for some trucks. Meanwhile, the fruits and vegetables in those trucks spoiled, leaving some produce department shelves sparse or empty in advance of the holiday weekend, he said.

You know that border crisis that isn’t happening? Well, we have good news: people aren’t dying at the border, either.

That’s what the Biden administration will tell you, at least. But if you’re willing to get your news from people who don’t have a vested interest in keeping the wool pulled over your eyes, you’ll find that the crisis is still very much a crisis — and that it’s getting worse all the time.

More in the article:

A federal judge on Monday granted a temporary restraining order to stop the Biden administration from lifting the controversial Title 42 health authority that was put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 across international borders.

The decision – which stemmed from a lawsuit originally filed by Missouri, Arizona and Louisiana in the latter’s U.S. District Court – was hailed as a “huge victory for border security” by Missouri attorney general Eric Schmitt.

Which branch of government can pass immigration law?

The Legislative Branch (Congress) includes the House of Representatives, whose membership is determined by the population of the states, and the Senate, which is composed of two people for every state. The Legislative Branch makes the laws, including the laws relating to immigration.

When was the last time republicans held both houses of Congress and the WH  ?

Back to the thread.

White House Response to Dead National Guardsman on the Border Will Make Your Skin Crawl

Evans dove into the Rio Grande river to attempt to save two struggling illegal immigrants. Reports have since surfaced that they were drug smugglers. Yet, Evans acted heroically no matter their identities, giving his life to save others. That kind of sacrificial posture is always an amazing thing to witness.

Yet, on the other side of this is the reality that Evans never should have been put in that position in the first place. The current border crisis has been caused and exacerbated by the Biden administration, and with its recent push to end Title 42 (thankfully, paused by a federal judge), the future only looks to be bleaker.

Given that, you’d hope the White House would at least accept some responsibility for Evans’ death and perhaps even pledge to make some changes. Instead, Jen Psaki, when asked about the situation, gave an answer that will make your skin crawl.

When I first saw that clip, I was gobsmacked. Yes, I know the president and his handlers are abject cowards who never admit their policies are getting people killed. Still, I expected the White House to dance around the issue rather than try to blame the State of Texas for Evans’ death. Further, Psaki ends by trying to blame other elected officials for not working with Biden on fixing the border, which is just an abject lie. Republicans (and even a few Democrats) have constantly pushed for more funding for border security. It is the administration that has refused to work with them.

That kind of gross indifference borders on evil, in my opinion. It crosses several lines, and it tells you exactly what kind of person Joe Biden is and what kind of people work for him. There’s no papering over how grotesque it is for the White House to take zero responsibility for Evans’ death when given the opportunity to.

Who is in charge of the border? It’s the federal government, not the State of Texas. The only reason there are any National Guard units on the border is that the Biden administration has turned it into such a disaster that the Border Patrol is completely overwhelmed. So who is responsible for Evans’ death? It’s not Greg Abbott for attempting to protect his residents. Rather, it’s the Biden administration, which caused this disaster.

So if democrats enforce current immigration laws or even strengthen them a bit they can defeat this nefarious republican plan. Correct?

Don't confuse the terminally stupid.  They've been told what to think and that's all they need to know.

Huh I thought it was because we are racist.  They can’t keep their talking points straight.
