BigBuff423 Posted March 23, 2021 Share Posted March 23, 2021 (edited) He's loved being a part of the team, and that makes me happy to see a guy who has a defined role and *could* do even more want to be with this team as it continues ascent to the top of the NFL. I too think he should be given KR / PR duties given how well he did in his limited opportunities. Also, he might be a good Slot WR, quick twitch-speed option for the Offense. The Draft can add size at WR plus Davis and Hodgins are already good value sized WRs. Edit: "I" am definitively, unequivocally NOT a good Slot WR, but "HE" might be.... Just too important to the D. Personally I was in the camp that hoped they could figure a way to keep Roberts. But kinda knew it wasn't likely. But yeah, will be one of those things that will get ya worried at times no matter the replacement unless it's a player like you mentioned that's known for it. Glad we kept McKenzie, too - he's pretty versatile, and speedy. He hasn't had to return the ball much though so we'll see. In 2017 he had 21 punt returns, 3 KO returns and 3 passes caught. Those possessions accounted for 6 fumbles.
