It depends on your interpretation of significantly. But it was pretty clear seeing both on the field with the same supporting cast in 2016 that Kap was better. Agree that in the early years he was probably wanting too much money, but it is mainly about distraction from a position that needs to be not seen and not heard.

He doesn't want to play football or he wouldn't have been such a pain in the ass when he declared he wanted to try out for teams. He's far more relevant and wealthy as a full time brand ambassador for Nike.

Besides, if he actually played football, Madden might have to rate him lower than Josh Allen and nobody wants that. Better to pretend he's an 80 grade QB.

(Aside: my 1st post to this forum ~Oct 2019 compared me theoretically interrogating Mayfield, Darnold, and Allen. I suggested that JA would be the ONLY guy I couldn't break and that, therefore, he was "The One". I saw it in his eyes and demeanor).

Josh Allen has been basically saying all the right things since the pre-draft process he seems to know how to prepare himself for questioning.

Maybe I've been missing some stuff that came out, or maybe I'm less logical than I think I am, but I'd still reserve judgement on whether he's hosed until all the facts/evidence come out.  I mean, I've seen cases that I thought were pretty slam-dunk get systematically unraveled in court.  Of course these were criminal cases so 🤷‍♂️

I'm not defending Watson as innocent or suggesting a conspiracy or anything, just that it wouldn't surprise me

Agree. I am not defending him either and haven't at any stage of this but the criminal standard is still, based on what is in the public domain, going to be tough to reach. In terms of the civil cases, if they are brought as a class action so that evidence of the pattern can be properly explored and laid out then I struggle to see a line of defense that is open to him. I honestly don't know what argument I'd advise him to run. I'd be telling him to settle right now if he called me.

I expect that Josh Allen in person is both a pretty intelligent, and a mentally nimble guy.  He has all the "canned answers" down pat - no need for "Crash Davis" to have him work on his platitudes - but he also has that "nimble" in interviews that I don't think you can entirely prep for.  That Giants interview where he told the reporters "I am in New York!" and "One NY Team!" (with a wink) still slays me.

Josh had to learn the hard way early on that what you say or post on social media can come back to bite you.

Not to carry this too far, so I will stop here, but..to LEs on the board: could you not tell w/n two min if a man was "under it"? (h/t, Rust Cohle, True Detective).

Honestly, not trying to be a Swinging D**k, but DW--in my view/experience--breaks quickly.

But,..I can see it in his eyes...JA would be spitting "FUs", regardless of even the harshest of technique.

So if Ashley gets some money from this and Watson is able to continue his career she will be a hypocrite for this and a money chaser.

Damn bro you are heartless... Watson isn’t playing football ever again unless it’s in the prison yard.

Jumping in here- Not saying you are wrong, but that is a pretty bold statement as there is sooooo much that needs to be played out still.

I don't think Ashley is a hypocrite or more of a money chaser than the average human.

I do think Deshaun will play NFL football again, but it might not be this year.   Not sure of the "prison yard" thing yet.

Definitely a weird kink in that man's hose though.
