Put McKenzie back there

They have to sign him, before they can put him back there.  He may end up being too expensive for them to re-sign...unless he is willing to take less to stay with a winner!

He was absolutely game-changing good, and regularly put us in great field position.

But I do agree the money should be spent elsewhere.

I find it interesting the number of of guys we are letting walk/test free agency.  Wallace and Roberts were ones I’d like back.  In a league that has taken the kick return out of the game, he certainly put it back in for us.  Gonna miss him.

Gonna need to spend the money one way or another to fill the roster.

We all saw in 2018 how having an inconsistent return game can really lose you games. Having a steady hand the past two seasons was really good. I am very upset to see him go. Not sure why fans were so quick to rush him out the door. Maybe Mac can handle the return duties but I would have liked to have kept Roberts.

How many fumbles did he have while he was here?  1 this year that I can remember.  His security catching the punts will be missed.

1 fumble in two seasons and while I don't like his kick returning (he was fairly average) I think his punt returning was one of the best in the league. Never an explosive punt returner but he was always solid on his returns and never a turnover liability.

Well, not sure if Bills made him an offer or not, but if this is true, good luck. Was great having a threat to take it to the house for a change. Since McGee I believe.

Except he never did take it to the house but he did set us up nicely numerous times. I think ya gotta give credit to the ST unit as a whole

Yeah he was awful week 17 against the Phins...

lots of muffs when he returned punts in Denver, so definitely reason for concern.

I never understood why he is so highly rated - 3 pro bowls . 0 td for 2years. No breaking speed, no flashy plays. Why to regret as Bills lost Terrence McGee?

Roster spot shouldn’t be wasted for return specialist. Quick WR or CB with reliable hands will be enough

Dude had the best KR average among all players who had 10+ kick returns.

I’m happy for Roberts. I didn’t want him back here, expected he’d have a soft market, so I’m super happy for him he got a really nice check. He doesn’t have a lot of playing time left so it’s cool to see him rewarded

He'll have plenty of opportunities for kick returns.

Kind of weird to see him leave a contender for a rebuilder lol. But happy to see he got paid and I wish him good luck

A guy in his position just needs to get as much money as possible.

I know we all like Roberts returning punts for us but I think the most important thing to consider is the game day roster slot.

I believe the Bills can do better than having a slot go to a punt returner.  I say punt returner because a lot of guys can return kickoffs.

Yeah I'm aware. I mentioned upthread about that.....A KR or PR hardly ever gets taken all the way anyhow. I mean how many returners the past few seasons have taken it all the way for the TD? May have 2 or 3 possibly that have. But point being it's rare, specially last few seasons as it's most of the time a touch back. Which makes it even more rare.

My point was that you always felt he was due and it could happen any time with him. Also he got good/great field position pretty often. Sometimes you knew he should have taken a knee when he ran it out. It happens. But he definitely got great position a whole lot more than he didn't.

League leading KR average. He does have enough breaking speed, not the fastest, but fast enough. Again I'll say KR's taken for a TD don't happen hardly at all. He also was best in the league not only for the Bills, also with the Jets.

He's a damn good KR/PR. I get the point he doesn't give you what you want at WR, and that's understandable. But to say he wasn't impressive as a KR/PR specialist, is kinda silly.
