CB in 1st round

Bills should target Asante Samuel Jr. in 1st round. I'm all about pedigree when drafting. We should have drafted Clay Matthews instead of Aaron Mabin in 2009 (Ouch).

I think he's more suited for a team that plays a lot of Man coverage. He kind of struggles in Zone a bit. He's also prone to get torched from time to time because he can struggle finding the ball in the air if his back is to the QB. I wouldn't take him at #30. If he is there in the 2nd? Possibly.

You got to watch for those Jr's i was hoping the Bills would have took Winfield Jr last yr just because his old man was drafted to the Bills i thought it would be cool and he played really good just like his old man did !!

Maybe but they could have done a hole lot worse . I just remember feeling put out when he went to the Vikings i was young and don't really know why i felt that way but i did .

Who is the best CB choice at 30? It’s starting to look like that’s going to be the pick.

That's probably better answered by @GunnerBill I'm not too deep into the CB group, but I typically see a 2nd-4th grade on Samuel Jr.

I strongly disagree. He was excellent in zone.

I'm Ok with a CB, but I'd rather see Jaycee Horn from South Carolina over Samual although I am not sure he'll still be there at pick 30

If we don't address pass rush in FA somehow, and Joseph Ossai is there at 30, I think he's the pick.  He has elite pass rush ability, but is super raw.  With Hughes. Addison and Epenesa in the fold for this coming year, he could be a pass rush specialist until he fine tunes the rest of his game.

If he's not there, I could certainly see us going CB or Offensive Weapon should someone too good to pass up be there.

I have Samuel on the 2nd/3rd round borderline. My view on the corner group is there is a top two - Surtain and Farley who ware top 10 payers. Then there is a second two which is Horn and Newsome. Then there is a gap. I only have two pure 2nd round grades - Tyson Campbell out of Georgia and Kelvin Joseph out of Kentucky. Then Samuel is my CB7 on that borderline. I think there is a cluster just behind Samuel - Melifonwu (who may well go sooner but I have a 3rd on), Aaron Robinson from UCF, Eric Stokes from Georgia and Pauslon Adebo from Stanford.

Antoine Winfield never lived up to his draft status?? He made the pro bowl 3 times and was first team all-pro one year. That means top 2 CB in the league. He had a 14 year career in which he was known as being a great CB for almost all of them. It's not his fault Ralph refused to pay him.

Sheesh. You guys forget quickly.

Sounds like a great idea!!!

It makes NO sense to stop doing something that has worked out so well for us in previous drafts.

if i've said it once i've said it a thousand times.  the path to the superbowl is fielding 11 CBs on each side of the ball and we can't do that unless we get about recognizing the importance of drafting CBs and nothing but CBs

I don’t mind taking a flyer on a guy in the late rounds, but y’all seriously want a guy in the first 2 rounds w/ the holes we have on this team? Pass rusher is what we need so this defense can go back to top form.

Which pass rusher are we drafting at 30 who is going to be an instant difference maker? This DE class = meh
