Biden's follies

Recommended Posts

“We are at a moment in time rarely seen in politics,

where the President of the United States can give a Prime Time address claiming that the very future of the Republic is at risk and the reaction is a complete shrug.

Nobody cares. Nobody is listening.

Biden owns the “bully pulpit,” but it is made of balsa wood and was nailed together by a 3 year old with a Playskool hammer.”

Plus: “Soon it will be our task to fight against the Republican insiders who are licking their chops at the feast they see set before them. Many of them are mirror images of the Democrat consulting class, indifferent to outcomes as long as the gravy train continues. They are as amoral as the Democrats, and we need to sweep them away as badly as this crop of Democrats.”

Joe’s was always promoted as champion  of the working folk when his anger was focused on perceived injustices, but he’s nothing more than a total loser when his anger’s now directed at those same working Americans.

White House says Biden ‘comes from coal country’ amid flap over energy comments.

The White House maintained on Monday that President Joe Biden’s words about fossil fuels were “twisted” and that, as a Scranton native, he understands the importance of coal country.

If democracy ends tonight, then who will be president?

14279164-5db1-4a3e-999c-4d7da9543de0-860

The President of the United States wields great power. He (nominally) controls the bureaucracy, absolutely controls the military, and has the ability to use the “bully pulpit” to persuade the American people–at least if he is even minimally persuasive. Joe Biden is not, but he retains his other powers.

If the president is a Democrat he also has almost every social institution backing him up: major corporations, the MSM, Hollywood, academia, big tech, the K-12 system, public employees’ unions, the federal bureaucracy, the intelligence community, the FBI…everything but Fox News and kinda sorta Twitter, which is now run by a mercurial if entertaining rocket man.

Yet if the Republicans win control of the House of Representatives, and God willing, the US Senate, democracy itself will Die in Darkness. Just as it did when Trump was president and had Republican majorities in Congress.

Dead. Kaput. The end of the Republic. The president will be powerless. No more elections ever. Orange Hitler will rule.

We are assured of this by…all the institutions I mentioned above. And, of course, almost every single supposedly nonpartisan “historian” and commentator known to mankind.

You would think that my description above is hyperbole, but it isn’t. They are really saying this nonsense.

So what was the income/revenue cutoff for PPP *loans
*not really a “loan” because it was forgiven if you brought your employees back

I don’t like the student loan forgiveness, but yes, they are comparable.

How are they comparable?  One saved millions of jobs during a once in a century pandemic.   One saved some people a couple hundred bucks a month on loans owed by many people who have ZERO problem paying them off.  And for those who struggle to pay their student loans there are already several forgiveness programs available.  What was available for people who could not work due to pandemic forced shutdowns?  Not even close to being comparable.

Comparing the two is lazy and I know you're better than that.

Biden Delivers Clueless Response to Voters and Midterm Results:

Notice how suddenly there doesn’t seem to be a threat to “democracy” anymore? Funny how that works.

As noted above, we don’t know yet for certain, but it looks like the Republicans could win both the House and the Senate. You can see the predictions at the bottom of the chyron with 51 in the Senate and 218 in the House. We’ll have to see how it continues to shake out.

So did Biden take away anything to learn? A reporter asked him about the one thing everyone seemed to agree on: the wrong direction of the country under him.

Biden’s response showed he wasn’t even pretending to have learned anything.

Reporter: “75% of people say the country is heading in the wrong direction. What do you intend to do differently?”

Biden: “Nothing because they’re just finding out what we’re doing.”

How horrible is that answer? He’s unabashedly going to continue along the disastrous path he’s been following.

Americans who voted for Democrats or who were fooled into believing Biden had achieved something by his sleight-of-hand tricks over oil and gas are about to get a rude awakening. Prepare for the oil and gas prices now to start going back up once the releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve stop.

The railroad strike Biden put off? That may hit now in December, in the holiday season.

On top of all that, here comes the diesel shortage as well.

Prepare for all that, because it’s coming.
