Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 5, 2021 Share Posted March 5, 2021 So sad to hear about Walter's passing. He was a kind and caring man and a legend. I had the privilege of interviewing him many times throughout high school and college. The highlight for me was spending a weekend with him at one of his golf tournaments for a documentary I was doing on him. He spent the weekend telling jokes and stories that I will never forget. I will never forget when he invited me as a 12 year old boy to "the basement" and let me put on Wayne's jerseys, pants, and gloves and then sent me home with an arm full of memorabilia. He was truly a class act and in a league of his own. You will be sorely missed Walter but you are home with Phyllis now. He was always very gregarious and loved to meet people and tell stories. Had a smile that went from one ear to the other.
