Rings & GOAT's: should the # of them really be the argument for Brady?

Fuh K Brady

He has been caught cheating every four ish years on average  for two decades straight, he lacks the very sportsmanship qualities that are a requirement for such an accolade. He is a walking character flaw.

Nothing more needs to be said.

As football continues to change, it’s going to be harder and harder to compare players from different eras.

The NFL is now an INCREDIBLY pass-happy league, so Mahomes’ stats will likely blow Brady’s out of the water. There’s about to be one additional game per year, as well, and that will skew numbers.

This brings us back to rings as the markers of GOAT status. It’s a fair debate with no clear answer. Jordan vs Lebron is another fine example of the “how much do rings matter?” Conundrum.

Especially since Lebron whores himself out to highest bidder.

If you cheat and get caught you are not the greatest of all time....you are a cheater.   There are many reasons to dislike Brady but this is by far and away the top reason.    Funny how so many just forget about this little detail and act as if it didn’t happen.

Lance Armstrong is the GOAT by this standard then.   I don’t care that “everyone else is doing it too” you got caught and therefore you are a cheater.

Manning was the better QB buy but took too many years solving that Belichek defense and the injuries slowed his play. It's funny people mention the rule changes because they were put in for Manning but Brady ended up becoming the benefactor of it. I will say that Brady has kept his body in great shape which has given him longevity in his career but his greatest accomplishment is that he was able to lift teams confidence.... they always know they will win. He has only lost to 7 QBs in the postseason. He did it with 4 very different teams (early Pats, Moss Welker pats, Gronk Edelman pats and the bucs). His beat year didn't even result in a Superbowl win but almost completed the perfect season. Most of the Patriots success was based of his abilities and the fact he took a discount to keep the team a winner

Think of the career someone would have to have in order to surpass Brady.

21 Seasons.

He's been to 14 Conference Title Games out of 21 years (67%)

He's been to 10 Super Bowls in 21 years (48%)

He wins the Super Bowl 33% of the time.

Joe Montana was 16-7 lifetime in the Playoffs. Peyton Manning was 14-13. Brett Favre was 13-11. Aaron Rodgers is 12-9. Russell Wilson is 9-7. Drew Brees is 9-9. Dan Marino was 8-10. John Elway was 14-8.

Brady is 34-11. His regular season numbers are over double that of Montana's now. He's had double the career of Joe Montana.

When it comes to records, he is going to have them all. Passing Yards will fall next year, he already has Touchdowns. He's played 301 games now.
