What Would Happen if They Held a Voter Suppression Election and No Voters Got Suppressed?

by Rick Moran

Last January, Joe Biden set the Democratic base ablaze with the incendiary charge that Republicans were suppressing the votes of minorities.

“Jim Crow 2.0 is about two insidious things: voter suppression and election subversion,” Biden told a crowd at Atlanta University. “It’s no longer about who gets to vote; it’s about making it harder to vote. It’s about who gets to count the vote and whether your vote counts at all.” “It’s not hyperbole; this is a fact.”

At the time, it was a supposition, not a fact, to claim that the Republican election reforms would suppress the black vote. And as it turns out, it certainly was hyperbole.

Always illuminating to look back on what Joey said and what is the actual truth.

Thanks.  Meant to post this poll.  No black respondent had a bad experience.  Imagine that!

Joke today said he was given a key for  a locomotive  and rode in the engine about 15% of the time he rode Amtrak to Delaware.   Probably let him see the inside of the cab once, gave him a  hat and let him go "choo-choo" every time they approached a crossing.

He also threw "The Generals" under the bus on the spy balloon.  He is the commander in chief.  If he wanted it shot down he could have told them do it now and they would have clicked their heels and said aye aye sir and shot it down.

AP story by Ellen Knickmeyer: “‘It just rang’: In crises, US-China hotline goes unanswered.” Knickmeyer reports right at the top of her story:

Within hours of an Air Force F-22 downing a giant Chinese balloon that had crossed the United States, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin reached out to his Chinese counterpart via a special crisis line, aiming for a quick general-to-general talk that could explain things and ease tensions.

But Austin’s effort Saturday fell flat, when Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe declined to get on the line, the Pentagon says.

Contrast Knickmeyer’s report with President Biden’s self-liquidating response to Judy Woodruff earlier this week (below). Biden was obviously misleading about his alleged chat with Xi last week, as becomes evident within a few seconds, as well as the implication of related discussions by his “people” with the Chinese authorities.

The predicate of Woodruff’s question is that everything should be beautiful between the United States and China, while Biden reassures her that it is.

This is pathetic.

My point here, however, and I do have one, is that Biden is obviously making it up as he snores along. Forgive me for repeating myself — what we have coming into plain view here is a “credibility gap” superimposed on an “awareness gap.”

Sure Joe.

Debunking the Claim That Donald Trump Is to Blame for the Ohio Train Disaster

FTA:

The problem? The claim is completely irrelevant to what happened in Ohio. For starters, the train did not have braking issues. Rather, it derailed because of a broken axle. Further, the train was not carrying oil, which is what the Trump-era regulation rollback specifically pertained to.

Also, and while it’s been a bit of an open question at times, hasn’t Joe Biden been president for the last two years? If that regulation was so effective and great, why didn’t Buttigieg try to reinstate it, even if it led to a court battle? He’s bringing up a completely unrelated regulation as a way to put Trump in the middle of the situation when he’s been in charge for the last two years. How does that square?

Besides, wouldn’t it make more sense for Buttigieg to deflect blame by noting the government can’t be responsible for axles breaking on trains? He can’t do that, though, because he and his party have built a facade that asserts the government can fix absolutely everything. If he were to say “look, there are some things the DOT just can’t prevent, and train parts breaking in freak accidents is one of them,” he would be undermining the left’s savior complex, and we just can’t have that.

In the end, the deflection to the Trump administration is simply dishonest. Even if this accident in Ohio pertained to brakes and oil tankers, that still wouldn’t prove that a lack of regulation caused the crash. Sometimes, things just break, and Big Daddy government can’t solve every issue.
