The Tight Rope procedure requires drilling two bone channels (resulting in four holes); one from side to side through the tibia and the other from side to side through the fibula, to run the suture material through, thereby stabilizing the joint.

Did you mean fibula?

Does it move when you are done? Jesh, That sounds horrible!

The ankle is allowed to move in this procedure.

Great description (if indeed this exact procedure was used) on this video.

We made plates and screws for the "screw type" procedures.

This system looks much better.

I think all this stuff is so interesting.

If I’m understanding this correctly, he tore ligaments in his ankle. I’ve been waiting to hear what his actual injury was.

Anyone know of other RB’s or WR’s who have had this surgery and if impacted them?

Not a RB or WR but Jonathan Cooper at Ohio state had it last year. He was back in about 8 weeks. I believe Tua had it as well at Bama.

I looked up Tua. Crazy that he’s had this surgery twice. The first one, he played 28 days later! Makes me feel better regarding Moss.
