How does the concussion policy work?

Is Mahomes allowed to play next week or not?

7-10 days out. Gets seen by independent doctors. It's likely he passes unless he shows he is still suffering the effects.

Step 1: Rest and recovery. This one is simple. ...

Step 2: Light aerobic activities. The player can participate in things like riding a stationary bike or treadmill. ...

Step 3: More aerobic exercise and strength training. ...

Step 4: Football specific activities. ...

Step 5: Full football activity.

An independent neurologist is involved during these steps.

The average length of time a player misses is 19 days.  But this did not look like a wicked hit to me.  We won't really know more until later in the week.

how do the Bills prep for a game featuring freakin Chad Henne...? I dont buy these chatroom medical opinions I have my doubts Mahomes plays...he well may but we have No idea how severely he was concussed

My guess is they will run on us. We played great this week on D, but with Henne and how they did earlier, they are going to run.

I don’t doubt he’s playing

Defending the run vs the chiefs without Mahommes is WAY different than it is with Mahommes. We will be much better

  1. obvious
  2. this could be a couple days or up to a week pending on the grade
  3. same
  4. Light practice at this point means he's feeling good
  5. indeed

This could be a day a week 2 weeks. The more time he misses day to day light practice activities the less he will be ready to play against our defense..

All this said.. To be the best you have to beat the best.. Hope he is there.

And

His toe injury is still real

Right? I still feel like they definitely had their chances to overcome.

I don't feel bad for them at this phase.

No, me either. They had an entire quarter without Mahomes on the field and couldn't make enough stops on defense to get it done. Good year for the Browns. The Chiefs were just better.
